I am a HUGE fan of anime and i think it would be cool to have a place to discusse our favorite show's and what's coming out,new manga,tv series, movies. Just a suggestion but I think it would be great.

groovie suggestion, but right now it falls under the general "entertainment" category. go there for your animation needs.

oh, what? At first I thought you meant the 'other' kind of anime. A good idea nevertheless though.

A different section for anime would be a big plus.

Sounds like a good idea but it really isn't. I'm also a big anime fan, but an anime forum wouldn't really fit in. There are already entire forums dedicated to nothing but anime, such as... http://animenation.net/forums/ :thumbsup:

I'm a fan of anime, but I don't think it is so volumious a topic to demand its own board. This is a more general board anyway.

Well, I know there is like no chance of it happening but come on there is a whole section dedicated to weaponry, but there can't be one for anime? Not trying to be rude or anything it's just kind of weird o_0 :)

Well, from what I've seen people eat up the anime posts around here. A whole board would be appreciated cause if they see it, they will come.

Id rather see the porn forums back tho

If enough interest is generated in one area, a board will be warped in from deep space and placed into the appropriate area. Don't flood forums with a topic, but if you really have a bunch of stuff to talk about, you can all post about it and see if it warrants its own board.

i seriously doubt there is enough interest and intellectual content we can all muster to warrent it's own seperate forum at this time. I mean.. how many Cowboy Bebop threads can you have on one page :)

Seriously... a lot of people would be posting stuff about The animatrix, or Family Guy, etc...
Would the anime board include manga as well?
What about fansubs vs real releases, or soundtracks? etc...

For now.. let's see how the threads fare on the ent. board and just keep your fingers crossed. I havent really seen a lot of active pure anime based forums online.. I've seen a few that start off for anime, then segway into jpop, or movies and general animation.. but it's hard to talk about something when you have a limited view of the genre (myself included) without repeating yourself too often.

I really like this idea a lot. Like the time they posted pictures that were actually drawings on the titty board ... yeah that would be cool too .

hey guys and gals.. there is an anime thread that is Stuck in tilted entertainment that could sway Halx to start an anime board or not.. so if you have a genuine interest stop by, get involved in a conversation..

i would like an anime section as i am a big fan. in a entertainment forum, it may get lost in the more popular posts.

An anime section would be pretty awsome.

LOL I was going to post a similiar topic like this, lucky I searched before I post. I think a tilted anime would be awesome. It doesn't have to be only anime, it could be like anime and cartoon or something.

There are different forces at work, here.

As much as I would love an anime forum (just look at my avatar), while I would definitly appreciate and post to it, I must admit that it won't see much traffic. Tilted Knowledge has trouble getting enough traffic to warrant its existence and I can only imagine there's more interest in that than anime.

However, it's true that there are several very small forums already on TFP, the smallest interest groups being Tilted Electronics and Tilted Travelling. It's tempting to claim that Tilted Programming is among the small ones, as well, but the reality is that that forum is brand new and has gotten a respectable amount of traffic, considering. The point is that if these small (tiny, I might say!) forums can exist then why can't Tilted Anime?

Of course, Tilted Anime will also encompass anime scores/soundtracks as well as manga. Throw in animation in general and it just might see enough traffic to warrant itself.


I might want to point out, in case it wasn't clear, that there are plenty of forums even smaller than the smallest Interests forums I mentioned but they're special. Their existence is justified beyond their popularity, like Coming Together or Tilted Suggestions...
