Adding to Tilted Interests...
 

I'm wondering if there's any interest in adding a section for people who are interested in mind-altering substances. I recognize that there are mixed opinions on the subject within the community, but the members of this forum are generally mature and open-minded peoples.

I'm thinking that the section could be an interesting addition where members can share experiences, seek help and give advice to one another.

So what does TFP think?

The staff has discussed it, and we don't see a need to add a separate forum for that right now. However, if you can get enough threads going to warrant creating a new forum for that, we're happy to revisit it in the future.

However, we'd probably move it into one of the "members only" sections to keep it away from prying eyes. Nothing like admitting using illegal drugs on the internet, right, Mr. Phelps?

Fair enough. I suppose it wouldn't be the smartest thing in the world to start a forum about such things when the topic so rarely comes up in the community. When it does come up, though, it seems pretty enthusiastic. I'll try posting a few threads on General/Members/Life about some things to see if members are receptive.

Also, any sticky legal issues are easy circumvented by using pseudonyms/third person; that's how the topic forums usually operate. Anyway, thanks for the response, and the link.

Easy to circumvent for you, but not for the board owners who might have unwanted attention from government agencies if it were thought they were endorsing illegal activities.
