I notice when a new post of passes is posted it's pretty much done in a day. It's completely raped by thousands of people who don't participate in the community. They're just here for the porn. Why don't you ban their asses?

Because its not our fault that they don't participate. They don't do it on their own terms. The Lurkers just float around and look, but don't participate. It would be nice if we could just erase them from existance, but right now they can still get a new account. So we would have a pile of old, non-used account, and a pile of new, un-used accounts. That wouldn't do anything except use nicknames that someone else could be using.

A lot of people came here for the porn. I know I did. It took me 4 months before I started participating.

As for the passes, you don't know if they are also posted somewhere else. Whoever posted them could post them anywhere they want to, and someone else could just as easily cracked the same passwords. Its all a matter of chance and luck.

Heh, I just came here, and thats why I'm here. I'll be honest, since if I get banned, its not much of a major issue for me.

I'm here for the Titty Board. Thats why I registered, and where I'll spend 99% of my time. Will I post in the others? Eventually I'll read a post that'll get my attention enough to get me to post at length. Does the fact that I cant have an avatar for howmany months it'll take me to make 250 posts annoy me? Sure. Will I prolly get yelled at since I tend to make numerous, short posts anyways? Prolly.

I'll most likely eventually find a thread I can argue on enough to get me to post a lot, but right now I'm here to gaze at titties.

Many of the people here are here for the titties. A lot of the others started that way and gradually started gazing at the other boards as well. Some of us don't even visit the titty board. It all depends on the person that's browsing. I personally like those who can contribute to the forum in more than just one place. :)

I guess it came true, Espark was banned in the time period of two days! Is it a new record?

That was mean...I discovered this place when I heard it had a titties topic...I came here for awhile just for that and then decided to look into the other topics...I found out that the titties topic wasn't the only thing that I liked...I look at a bunch of others as well...I think that this forum is one of the best...I love it...I'm spreading the word about this place...and no I'm not saying "Hey, I heard that TFP was the best site for pr0n"...I'm telling them about the advice topic and the gaming topic and the music topics...I tell them that this is a great place to get help and to talk to other ppl and stuff...I don't mention the pr0n stuff...I let them find that out for themselves...THANX

That's a good start. Thank you for not just coming here and oggling the titty board. But in reply to that being mean, he himself said he did not care if he was banned. So he pretty much set himself up for it.

I'll admit as well, I first arrived here just for the titty board. But after lurking for about a month and reading some of the conversations, I had to say something. I guess that's just part of my nature :) It scared me when I first opened up the board today and read the message stating that some members will be banned and TFP may go down. Just as I was getting into the groove of things too...

I have some suggestions about solving this problem. Keep in mind that I am new and not totally sure how everything works around here yet, and I'm sorry in advance if I'm saying something that's already been said. But I felt like I needed to help :)

- Why don't we just become a private board? After banning the lurkers who have shown themselves to be here just for the porn, put a password system into TFP so that only certain members can enter. No more worries about the lurkers coming back, and the people who talk can still talk. TFP can always become public again whenever the need for new blood arises.

- I don't think getting rid of the titty board is such a good idea. Many of the people who entered here came for the boobage, but stayed for the mind if you catch my drift. Could some of the strain be lifted from the server if older Titty topics were deleted? I know most of them die after 3 days (pictures turn into red x's) and we have about 50 pages of topics I think.

- Maybe another way to encourage participation would be to make the Titty board a board you have to earn access to, like some of the others around here that I've heard about. Maybe something like a 50 post entry fee or something.

- Lastly, maybe appointing certain people who have proven themselves "worthy" as the only people who can post new titty topics. Would that lessen any strain?

I hope my suggestions help this place out.

As to your questions Gman:

1.) We tried that, and screened people who wanted to enter via the chat room. It was quite a hassle for the admins.

2.) We are constantly seaching out and moving rexed threads to the testing board where they are eventually purged.

3.) We tried locking out the Titty Board before, and it just encouraged people spamming the board.

4.) It would be very difficult to deem someone worthy of being able to post a thread on the Titty Board. Besides, as long as the post is enjoyed, that's all that matters.

Having read this thread, I would like to say that, yes, I admit, the reason why I first joined the TFP was for the porn. But after having started to use it and read the forums, I realize how much is here and how useful it really can be.

I look forward to being a member of the TFP community for a long time to come.

I can honestly say I came for the porn. But i can also say that i do participate in other boards. So my posts are pretty spread out.

I seem to fit the description of the rest of you guys. I have belonged to 2 forums seriously in the past, with well over a thousand posts, and I felt like it was time to participate in a forum again so I started reading threads and posting my replies. Little did I know that in the week or so that I was doing that, the pr0n disappeared. I guess it isn't too bad a thing. I'm too lazy to find a new source so I'll just keep active in the other boards.

Eh, I hate to say it but without the erotica, this board is pretty much useless to me. A community is nice, but I did the whole "Internet/Cyber/Whatever Community" -thing back in 97' it just gets tiresome. This isn't a bash, and I'd hate to come off as ungrateful, but without the eye candy there's not much here I can't get from my room mates, or close friends. Sex, and porn may not be the highest of ideals but none of us can say we're always in the mood for high ideals.

What first brought me here was the Titty Boards- just like most of the people on here- but the more and more I've been on here, I've been browsing and posting on the other boards. It's actually surprised me- this is probably the most intelligent group of posters out of any of the boards I post on. There's always numerous great topics going on in each of these forums.

It seems to be a common trend that most everyone starts out as a lurker, whether they come for porn or advice, it's all the same. I wanted to check things out and see how the community responds to newbies. I have decided to start contributing, as I enjoy the discussions, and feel like I know people here even though I have never posted. Vouyeristic? Notsomuch, just needed to feel comfy.

Let's put it this way, if people are going to be using the bandwidth, it's much better for them to be an active member of the community than someone who uses the bandwidth without participating.

Can you also ban non-active lurkers who decides to spam the board with their responses in order to achieve Tilted status. 40 posts in 40 minutes, give me a break.

i miss the links forumn. i loved the active porn community in here, and really wish it were still here. i personally think that if no pictures posted directly to the board then it shouldn't eat up too much bandwidth. i don't talk all that much any where, real life or virtual, i'm not the real talky type. but every now and then i would engage in some sort of participation in the community, which i came to for the porn. and because of this site i have been able to find some of my favorite porn which have personally enriched my boring ass sex life. and as i see that there is very little chance that the links board will be coming back i would like to know if anyone knows of any other "communities" that i could be a part of to obtain movies at no cost. so i could then come here with out remorse. thank you.

You don't need to lurk, just read the rules located in the Newbie forum and in whatever forum you're about to post in. They should be pretty obvious, but get acquainted with them. As soon as you know the rules, start posting. :)

I sort of jump around. If my brain is fried after work then its straight to the titty board. but most of the time I see whats going on. If it interest me then I post.. if not I move on and don't reply.

I'm Not sure that banning everyone all the time is the answer. I know that there are some really good people here. Lets just kep things going and make sure that thi site stays as a part of out Net lives........

As a lurker, the above post is the exact reason why I come for the porn. It's because I don't want to deal with intolorent people like the above.

I originally came here for the porn, but I like the discussions in the other forums too, so I'm going to be here more often.

I came a long time ago for the discussions, then left, then came back when I needed a porn fix, then it went away, then i left, and now I am back, for the discussions.

But really, with an open registration, their isn't much that can be done about inactive/lurking members, they can always find a way back in.

Although still a newbie, guess I got a right for an opinion on this topic also. I say that if they just came for the titty board, they probably won't be here long. While the board is nice, it certianally isn't the best porn on the net, and they will wander out just like they wanderd in. As I look at the membership list, I see a ton of names with "0" posts...this may have already been discussed, but what about deleting anyone who doesn't post after XXX amount of time. Either if it's a crappy post it makes them have to do something to stay.

While I may be a little late posting this, why don't you make the Titty board so that you can only access it after you have been a member for more than a month and have accumelated a certain amount of posts. Then the people who are here only for porn are kept out if they do not participate AND it takes care of the spamming problem, since spamming won't help you. Most of these guys won't spam until a certain amount of posts AND wait the whole month for their accounts to be allowed through.

I think this way you can rid yourself of all of that.

I came to this board originally cuz I saw the Ladies Lounge and I like to get inside the ladies heads and find out what they are truly thinking so that I may be better at figuring out those wicked and lovable creatures. But after I signed up, I really found that reading and posting in other threads really helped my 9 hour extremely boring work day pass much faster, so I post alot, (I think). And since alot of the Tittie Board and OTW doesn't show up at work, or is NSFW, I don't spend much time there, although when I go home, yeah, I ogle.

I realize that the staff has tried several methods...and that there are members who contribute significant amounts to the TB, but not to the other forums...

But if we are already going overboard with the bandwidth, as Halx has mentioned, then perhaps limiting access to pre-approved members might be a good idea. As in, access to TB for Full Members only - seeing as full members are handpicked based on post quality, not quantity... Or am I wrong about this?

I don't think banning the non-active users is a good idea. Like people have said, if you come here for the porn, it might take time before you even notice any of the other boards. Took me months before I started to explore other parts of this forum than the porn, and nowadays the titty board is one of the boards I view the least.

That's unpossible.

The mods here have embiggened themselves and would not stoop to that level. It's ironical really...

I wasn't here for it (obviously) but I thought that a couple of years ago, the mods killed something like 10,000 accounts for being inactive (i.e. TB leeches).

Whatever. The mods are smarter than I, so I'll leave the scheming to them.

All hail the might, power and wizdom of the mods! I read this post and decided to join. Since I joined (about 9 days) I've posted over 150 times, that's an average of 16 or 17 posts a day! I think I might be addicted, but I want you to know that this post is having at least some positive effect. I joined and am now adding to the titled project.

I used to be very active in the other forums, but now I come here mostly for the titties. That said, I feel obliged to post in other forums on my way to the Titty Board so I don't feel like a total leech. I feel that offering some programming tips and advice in exchange for free porn is only fair to the other members. I don't see that it would hurt anyone to reply to a couple of threads that catch their interest while browsing porn. Surely everyone has other interests besides porn.

The main problem I'm having with this site right now is that the pages seem to load a lot slower now that there are hundreds of "guests" reading the board at all hours. I wonder why they don't join, since there's really not much to see here from the outside looking in.

Maybe they are afraid people will track their movements. Should we tell them about IP addresses?
