How about them Bears?
7 in a row? How would have thunk it? Not me I must admit even though I'm a die-hard Bears fan. Finally getting some respect from the media as well.
Joy! --jaded |
It was a pretty good game, I will give it that. Too bad my Bucs lost AGAIN because of poor kicking. I was suprised our offense looked as good as it did - much better than the Bears, but as any Bucs or Bears fan knows, defense wins championships.
Congrats to any Bears fan on the big win. I would be drinking myself into forgetting it if it wasnt for the Gators totally fucking dominating the Seminoles on saturday. Finally showed everyone what a bunch of frauds they have been all year long. Sorry for veering off topic - time to stop drinking. |
The Bears played well.......I'm a Bucs fan, but live near Chicago and actually went to the Bears-Carolina game last week. They completely dominated Carolina, that game could've easily had a wider margin of victory.
Today the Bears just capitalized on the mistakes their defense seems to always be able to force. I was actually a bit encouraged by Cadillac's performance against that defense, it gives me hope if the Bucs get into the playoffs. |

To be honest, I prefer when people doubt them, they seem to play harder to earn more respect. And DAMN, that D-line is monstrous! |
What's amazing about the Bears' D is that while being compared to the 85 Bears, this team is doing it without blitzing that much. The 85 Bears' 46 defense was built on setting up a mismatch on the number of defensive players going after the QB. Eventually someone free is going to get the QB, and they did quite often. The current Bears are so dominant up front that you don't need to send the LBs or a safety to go after the QB. Ongunleye and Brown have to be two of the best ends in the business.
Anyone think that playing the Packers next week is going to be easy is wrong. Farve has never lost at Soldier Field. Throw out the records when these two teams play. Playing the Pack twice in 4 games scares me. |

Huge game against the Pack next Sunday, but honestly, I'd be very surprised if the Bears didn't win it fairly easily. Yes, I know it's Favre, but who's he going to throw the ball to? Donald Driver in triple coverage? Probably, which means that Vasher will take it all the way back for an easy 6 :D --jaded |
Go packers?
anyone? haha as a fan you know the days will come when your team is too shitty to win, and if you're still a fan through those days then you know you're a real fan... This is only a test. |

As much as I hate the Bears, I gotta say they deserve respect. That defense is pretty unbelievable.
The lackluster offense is going to be their downfall, however. |

Good win, but the Packer's are definately a crippled team.
|
^ Farve's lucky to not be crippled after the pummeling he got yesterday.
Wonder if he phones in sick on Christmas Day? :D |
Yeah I'm not really sold on the bears as a legit team yet. NFC north/NFC in general this season isn't what it was last year. Plus your offense is just really bad, I mean you guys cannot hope to keep winning without a QB/team that can move the ball more then 70 yds a game.

The Baltimore Ravens did it in 2000, why can't the Bears in 2005? Could you imagine what the Bears would be with a top 10 offense? Scary. --jaded |
And the D will be together (barring injury) for at least two more seasons.
That's what's really scary. I think Orton will get it figured out. I saw him complete 25 straight passes last year at a Purdue game. He ended up 27 out of 29. Obviously it was a weaker team, but I'll be Manning can't complete 25 straight in practice. Hopefully, he'll be given the time he needs. But realistically, this should be the Colts year. Next year belongs to the Bears! |
The bears haven't had a star QB in 25 years and that includes the 85 team.
It makes me a sad panda. |

The guy hasn't missed a game due to injury since Grade 9 GRADE 9! And when he missed that game his dad called him a pussy. |

Sunday showed why a balanced team is needed to win in the league...
Go Vikings! |
annnnd the falcons go down. Man watching Urlacher chase Vick is probably the most exciting thing in football.

If I were a Bears fan that went to games , I'd be royally hacked that the game was played at night in Chicago. It's just too cold for the fans to enjoy the experience--or at least, it would be for THIS fan. Getting on national TV is OK, but not at the expense of those that buy the tickets to see the games in person.

And I'm not thinking just of Chicago when I mention this. Buffalo played a night game over the weekend, too. A playoff game in New England a few years ago was at night, when the game during the day was either in a dome or in a warmer weather site. Yes, the ticket buyer knows it's going to be cold, but a little consideration for the hardy souls that want to buy a ticket wouldn't be out of line. Let the Bears and Bills have night games in September; give the Vikings or Bucs or 49er the night games in December. |
I'm with ya Ace! Go Pack Go!
Look at it this way, we are gonna get great placement in the draft. :( |
NFC North Division Champs, a sweep of the Packers, first round bye.
SI can blow me for picking the Bears as the worst team in the NFL for the 2005 season :D --jaded |
/me does the Duckman dance
And thrust your pelvis, HUH, and thrust your pelvis, HUH! :D |
