ahhh the chargers completely blew it!

Schottenheimer should know better! He had a rookie kicker, and a first down on the 25. The grass was still wet from rain only minutes earlier, and he only gives his kicker one shot. Granted, I didn't think there was a defense on God's green earth that could shut out LT for three straight attempts, but a 30-33 yard kick is just as missable under those circumstances. All those rushing attempts, and he couldn't even center the ball between the hash marks to make the kick a bit simpler. What a crazy finish.

Yeah, the guy shouldn't be blamed for what happened - it was understandable, especially from a rookie kicker.

man, that was a heartbreaker. I was really hoping for the cinderella story to keep going deep into the playoffs. but at least everyone was treated to a really exciting game.

i was bar hopping between the game and when they missed the field goal it was time for another jack and coke, it was gone before the game was over and time to go.

the chargers were given a second chance at the end of the fourth quarter, and then they had the game wrapped up and choked in overtime. im from san diego and i wanted them to win, but there were given so many chances and still lost.

Nate Kaeding saved Eric Barton's job.

Poor Kaeding.

Tough loss to what was a surprisingly great season. I hope they'll be in the hunt for the next few years.

yeah, that was a stupid penalty.

But maybe Chad proved to a few people he CAN throw a long ball. The Jets are looking pretty good, all through the season they are getting no respect, but they controlled that game and still brought it out after almost throwing it away in the 4th Quarter. The defense is looking good, and its encouraging they scored well without Curtis Martin getting that many yards.

Yes I have to agree with you.
Great games

I'm an Iowa fan and I am shocked Kaeding missed that field goal, it must have been his jitters. He never missed at Iowa and I consider him one of the best kickers in the league along with the veterans of the league. He will end up being one of the greatest kickers the league has ever seen, just keep watching.
