TFP Football Pool Week #6
Week 6 is upon us and the season will be a third over after this week. You doing as good as you thought? Have teams surprised you with their inability to maintain a lead or their ability to come from behind? No. Me either. So let’s see how wrong, er..right you are this week.
TFP Football Pool rules: 1. Pick one team from each game to win the game. If they win, you get one point. Ties count as a loss. The most points win. (Points spreads are not included, so therefore they do not matter. “Just win, Baby” - Al Davis) 2. After all games are picked, give a point total for the total points scored in the Monday night football game. This is used as a tie breaker. The closest, without going over will break the tie. If all tied go over, the closest wins. 3. Have your picks in before the first kickoff. The thread will be closed at some point after midnight EST the night before the first game. (Thank you Spectre.) Don't be late - PM's after the thread is closed will not count. For convenience purposes please only list the winning team name. You should copy and delete from the schedule provided. PLEASE KEEP THE GAMES/TEAMS IN THE ORDER THEY ARE LISTED BELOW! Thank you, and good luck. Week #6 Team (2004 record, 2004 road/home record) Sunday October 17, 2004 Carolina (1-3, 1-1 road) Philadelphia (4-0, 2-0 home) Green Bay (1-4, 1-1 road) Detroit (3-1, 1-1 home) Kansas City (1-3, 1-1 road) Jacksonville (3-2, 1-1 home) San Diego (3-2, 1-1 road) Atlanta (4-1, 2-1 home) San Francisco (1-4, 0-2 road) NY Jets (4-0, 2-0 home) Cincinnati (1-3, 0-2 road) Cleveland (2-3, 2-0 home) Houston (2-3, 1-2 road) Tennessee (2-3, 0-2 home) Miami (0-5, 0-2 road) Buffalo (0-4, 0-2 home) Seattle (3-1, 2-0 road) New England (4-0, 2-0 home) Washington (1-4, 0-2 road) Chicago (1-3, 0-2 home) Pittsburgh (4-1, 1-1 road) Dallas (2-2, 1-1 home) Denver (4-1, 1-1 road) Oakland (2-3, 2-0 home) Minnesota (3-1, 1-1 road) New Orleans (2-3, 1-2 home) Monday October 18, 2004 Tampa Bay (1-4, 1-2 road) St. Louis (3-2, 1-1 home) This weeks prize: The coolest mouse trap on Earth. Detroit (3-1, 1-1 home) Jacksonville (3-2, 1-1 home) Atlanta (4-1, 2-1 home) Toughest game to call NY Jets (4-0, 2-0 home) Cincinnati (1-3, 0-2 road) (toughest personal call because both are my home team, but I like the Bengals odds better, Garcia is still having problems, Carson Palmer may come to show his future greatness in this one. Chad Johnson should have a Hellof a game and Rudi Johnson is going to smash the Browns. Hope it is close but I have a feeling this has blowout written all over it) Tennessee (2-3, 0-2 home) Miami (0-5, 0-2 road) Miami comes alive (even if it is just for 1 game) New England (4-0, 2-0 home) Chicago (1-3, 0-2 home) Dallas (2-2, 1-1 home) Denver (4-1, 1-1 road) Minnesota (3-1, 1-1 road) Monday October 18, 2004 St. Louis (3-2, 1-1 home) (what could be the most boring "who cares" Mon.
