TFP Suicide Pool Week #5
 

Week #5 of the TFP Suicide Pool (and then there was 9)

Week three has passed and the pack is staying together. We started with 57 in week one, dropped to 40 for week two, seventeen went into week three, lost three players week three, and after losing 5 players this week we now have 9 remaining. If your name is on the following list, you may continue on. If your name is not on this list, you are more than welcome to post a pick, if you are willing to receive harsh and embarrassing comments made about you since this is for the remaining participants only. (Congratulatory or self-deprecating messages are also welcome.)

First a repeat of the rules:

1. Each week you must pick one team to win that week. (Point spreads are irrelevant!) If they win you continue on in the pool the next week. You lose, you are out.

2. You may only pick a team one time during the pool to win a game. Once you have picked a team, that can not be used for the remainder of the season. (This is where the strategy comes into play - choose wisely when to take your "sure thing" team.) If you “accidently” pick a team you have used previously, you will lose and then be prepared to be mocked and thoroughly embarrassed (hereinafter referred to as the “inharmony rule”).

Since this is a single elimination, be sure to have your pick in by midnight EST the night before the first game. If the mod (thanks again Spectre) locks the thread before you pick, you have not picked, and have lost.

Nice work everyone. I did not think there was any problem with GB beating the stupid Giants. Unreal. Shows just how hard a suicide pool is that is for sure. It is week 5 and 90% of those who started are gone. Good job to those who remain and good luck.

Damn you Green Bay Packers trainers! Why couldn't you have given Favre permission to come back into the game? Instead you put in the second and even third string quarterback. Unbelievable. And here I thought that beating the giants was a sure thing.

Tough week this week, with the exception of New England everyone seems somewhat evenly matched - and I don't want to use up New England as a pick yet...

Only one that stands out to me is Jacksonville. Have to go with them this week.

yup, just like i was afraid of. Arizona got their win. Emmit Smith went off!

I have a strange feeling that there are going to be a lot of upsets this week.

I had to go back to see who all I picked. I'm gonna go with New England this week.

Agree on Indy being an 'almost' sure thing, but I'm gonna save them for later.

Of course if my upset special, ARIZONA, doesn't come through, there won't be a next time. :)

All of you people picking INDI should really be careful.....Dont underestimate the silver and black.
