I saw the mistype in the title and was hoping for a cool new sport to watch. Oh well.

If you're just starting out, I suggest you just pick up a tippmann custom 98. Good, durable, fully customizable gun. That's probably what you'll see at the club, and its a good thing cause they are a great guns. You can msg me if you want to talk further about paintball questions. :)

I agree with the tippman 98 custom reccomendation. It's not the best gun out there, but gives you room to upgrade once your skills deem it neccassary. Plus, as far as paintball guns go, it's fairly inexpensive.

Mask before marker please.

You will thank me for it later. Your senses (vision, hearing) and hygiene are far more important than your ability to "reach out and touch someone".

It's been a while since I've been on the field, but the reliable low end guns were Spyders and Tippmans.

they have some good prices, but you cant beat the service you will get from your local field/store. getting a mask first is what i would recomend as well, it is probably the piece of equipment you will keepo the longest. Markers are always being sold to buy the newest gear.

Where are you from?
Check out pbnation.com
it is a forum and has a spot where you can get some hot gear at great prices. good luck

Ain't it the truth... I remember sixth grade I got hit with a bean bag from a bean bag gun at a summer camp... I couldn't breathe for awhile :)

autocockers are very precise. i have a spyder electric trigger and everyone else is upgrading to autocockers. pretty good guns.

check them out at www.worr.com

I bought a spyder about 6 years ago and I'm still using it. they are inexpensive, reliable, and have a ton of aftermarket parts.

If you're playing woodsball, get a tippman 98 Custom, and a barrel. Get a good mask, and some camo gear from Goodwill, and you're good to go.

Otherwise, get an autococker, if you're playing indoors.

You should also look at www.hotshotpaintball.com
They offer free shipping on orders over $100.

Check out the V-Force masks. The Shield, Morph, and Profiler.
Great field of vision, and THEY WILL NOT FOG!

Tipman makes great markers. I am about to buy a A-5 myself.

You should also check out Paintball Review . A very good place to see a wide variety of opions on any thing to do with paintball.

Also I say if you have to buy big, buy big in the Mask department. You won't regret it.

TheDave87 07-09-2004 08:53 PM

Ive got a JT Spectra Flex 7 mask, which fits great around glasses and gives good peripheral vision. As for a gun, Tippmanns rule for beginner guns.
