Nuggets are in...Melo for MVP

Can't believe the Nuggets went from 17 wins to playoff bound in one year.

Melo for ROY & MVP!!!

djtestudo 04-12-2004 09:32 PM

I might go with him as ROY now (though I think LeBron did more with less, and at a harder position), but MVP? Uh-uh.

Kurant 04-12-2004 10:09 PM

It's going to be a co ROY award, anything less, would be un-civilized. (LOL, can't belive I just said that)

Jesus Malverde 04-12-2004 11:36 PM

Nah, not MVP. That should go to Garnett. I hate saying that as a Spurs fan, but its true. He's put up some outstanding numbers. Carmelo definitely deserves ROY, he had a great season.

jasonresno 04-13-2004 06:48 AM

LeBron will get ROY. Just watch.

here is who I think should win what:

MVP:Kevin Garnett
ROY:LeBron James
MIP:Zach Randolph or Carlos Boozer
6th Man: Al Harrington I think is his name.

MIP-Lamar Odom

jasonresno 04-13-2004 09:20 AM

Yeah that is true...but you can't deny Carlos..

lyxo 04-13-2004 12:32 PM

nor can you deny ginobli
even though i am a die hard cavs fan

buclao 04-13-2004 01:22 PM

MVP-Garnett
MIP-Boozer
ROY-Carmello, although any other year Dwaye Wade would have won

Speed_Gibson 04-13-2004 05:24 PM

probably a bit biased but I can see Zach Randolph as MIP; not sure about Boozer's numbers but I know that Randolph did a superb job filling the void that Scottie Pippen left.
Realised today that I stopped caring about the playoffs when Portland finally shot themselves in the foot for the last time this season and made sure they were lottery-bound. Oh well, there is always next year to start the next streak.

laconic1 04-14-2004 10:29 AM

Hope 'melo gets ROY but it sounds like the media have pretty much given it to Lebron.

ForgottenKnight 04-14-2004 12:35 PM

I'm impressed with the improvement in the Nuggets as well. I hope that they keep improving rather than having this year be a one time fluke!

Nimbletoe 04-14-2004 07:44 PM

It should be a CO-ROY. Both have made outstanding contributions to their respective teams and to the NBA, and are both amazing players that were the cornerstone of their team, which both did waaaay better than they did last year. They almost have the same numbers too. Giving it to one or the other just doesn't seem fair to the one that doesn't get it.

Jesus Malverde 04-14-2004 10:28 PM

You know what, Nimbletoe, thats actually a good idea that I hadn't thought of yet.

jasonresno 04-17-2004 06:23 AM

Yeah, I don't particularly like Al Harrington..but jeese this guy is good. I think he is averaging like 13 and 6.
