Martin St. Louis vs. Pavel Datsyuk oh man, that's a dream come true, too bad they're not in the same divisions or else we'd see these guys duke it out all the time. My money be on the Wings.

Oh man, what a great game.
Lightning clinch the SE division with a clutch tie on the road. Almost looks like playoff hockey. Non-stop, end to end.

And nobody mentions the Avs-Canucks game. Another good playoff-style game.

Nope, no Datsyuk vs. St. Louis. As per the norm this season, detroit started the game missing Datsyuk, Draper, Wooley, Dandenault, and with Joseph sitting in only as a backup. Then they finished the game missing Lang. That's their top 3 centers!!! Go ahead, count them, I dare you
![]() The good thing was, that even missing top 3 centers, 2 regular D-man, and using the backup goalie, the Lightning could only manage a 1-1 tie against Detroit. And yes, I know that Tampa completly outskated Detroit in the 3rd, I would imagine being able to roll barely 3 full, competant lines, and that is a stretch, against one of the top skating teams in the league would probably make a team tired after awhile. If the Wings can just get healthy by the playoffs, watch out!!! And the Avs-Canucks game was a disgrace. Playoff hockey does not include a player having to be carted off the ice, wondering if he will ever be able to walk again, much less play the game again. Moore is a lucky man, because it sounds like with a successful surgery, he will make a full recovery. Last edited by Nikilidstrom; 03-09-2004 at 03:22 PM.. |
