Panthers

How can this team just keep winning?!

holtmate 01-11-2004 05:19 AM

They've had a lot of things go their way, and they have incredible playmakers. I don't think they'll win it all, but there is a good chance they'll be back next year.

I don't know, but that was a hell of a game. Most suspense I've seen in a while.

Carolina has one of the better offensive lines in pro football. S. Davis was knocked out, and D. Foster came in for ninety-five more yards - it doesn't matter who the Panthers insert a running back, they will score 21+ points due to their o-line dominance.

Carolina also wins with defense. I think defense is one of the things you point to right away when someone says "how do they do it?" Think about it for a second - New England, Carolina, Philadelphia - these are some of the best defenses in the league - and none have an offense that lights up the board.

Defense truly does win in the playoffs.

Don't say that! Do you want to see Steve Young cry?

Well, actually, go right ahead :D

gotta love those panthers... im very impressed... when the Rams got the onside kick, i thought it was over... but i cant believe they won!... congrats to carolina

stupid ass martz. he had 30+ secs and a timeout in his hands at the ~25 yard line and he elects to run it out for the field goal? serves his ass right.

EDIT : spelling.

Strange Famous 01-11-2004 11:10 AM

I guess they do have a really good defence, but they dont seem to have any explosive offensive weapons... I never thought they could win against the Rams if they need to score 21 or more pts to do it.

Yeah' I almost forgot about that. The dickwad had a chance for at least a couple shots at the endzone and pissed it away. He deserved to lose.

No explosive offensive weapons? I don't know which game you were watching on Sunday but it looked pretty explosive to me. Stephen Davis broke one for a bunch and would of scored if he hadn't pulled the quad. And don't forget the game winner, Steve Smith over the middle, untouched. That was a thing of beauty!

The best play however, was the one handed interception by Ricky Manning. Outstanding coverage. And, he's just a rookie!

GO PANTHERS!

I dont care what anyone says, carolina have been my team since the franchise started, ive been waiting for another playoff season by them. I think they are a completely different team now than they were week 13 in their loss to philly. i think they have what it take to get to the superbowl and possibly to win the superbowl. But as all you football fans know, there is never a sure thing. I guess we will just have to see how it plays out

Its great to see the Panthers finally winning. I am from Charlotte, and it is a wonderful thing to see our team doing something good. Here's hoping they go all the way...

The last game against Philly is when the wheels fell off of John Kasay. He missed three field goals and and extra point. That would have been enough to beat the Eagles.

However, McNabb is in a different mode now. He hardly ran at all against us last time. This time, you better believe he will.
