Webber is done!
As much as I dislike Webber I didn't want to see him get injured. I don't think the Kings can win it all without him though. That is a good thing. I'm not a fan of Sacramento either. I think they could beat Dallas without Webber only because Dallas doesn't play D, but when/if they play the Spurs or Lakers they need him inside to win.
From what I heard he needs surgery on his knee. 4-6 weeks of recovery. |

Re: Webber is done!
Yes, I didn't want him hurt either. I know he's worked very hard to be healthy. And I know he must be so hungry for a championship ring. I think the Kings could still do well against Dallas without C.Webb. But if they are to face either the Spurs or the Lakers, I don't think Divac can hold off Tim Duncan or Shaq inside by himself. The last meeting between C.Webb and T.Duncan was very interesting. They went at it like warriors!

his abscence, i thought, could really be felt in the saturday game. if he were there they would have definetly won.

This gives SA or LA an easy opponent in the WCFs, no matter who wins!

Ah but did you hear...
Webber is looking at for going the knife till after the playoffs. He was talking of just going through rehabiliation and coming back in few weeks in the next round if his team is still alive.
I just hope he doesn't mess up his leg for good on the hope of glory. Its just 1 year compared to however many he has left in his contract...

Well, after taking a look at the Kings website Webber's knee problem isn't mentioned anywhere that I see and he isn't on the injured list.

Webber said that he's hoping to delay surgery and return to playing in 3 weeks. He said this during the Kings vs. Mavs game the other night.

If Webber thinks that he can come back to play before surgery, he's crazy. I don't think that the Kings could beat the Spurs even with him, and I still think there's a good chance they won't make it past the Mavs...
Hopefully he'll wise up and get the surgery and try it again next year...
