FYI - San Diego Chargers Game Moved
due to killer fires (see bottom of this satellite photo), the game is being moved to Phoenix, but will still occur at the originally planned time (Monday Oct 27th).
Refunds will be issued for ticketholders. |
That's going to be weird seeing a Monday night game in a virtually empty stadium.

The empty stadium is nothing new for Phoenix. A game on Monday from Phoenix is downright bizarre.

I heard somewhere that the tiks will be free. First come first serve.

Wow, the stadium was pretty full, they estimated 55-63,000 people. They got a lot more than they get for a Cardinals game. For no notice, even with free tickets that's not bad.

The vendors were tickled pink, one bonus "home" game from out of nowhere.
There was a lot of blue in the stands, whether it was San Diego blue or Dallas blue wasn't immediately visible. Otherwise, the game was the same game that would have been played in San Diego were it not for the fires. |
Yeah, I was there last night and was shocked as shit to see how many people showed up. It was, though, mainly college kids. They estimated like 73000 people there; take that Bidwell.

Good thing the Chargers didn't demand $ for the empty seats...would have been a nightmare for them but seems like something they would do

I'm sure people who don't even like football went, it was free hehe. I'd have been there in a heartbeat.
