Ryan Newman : Cheater ?
If you've been following ryan newman recently, u'll see the kinds of feats this guy has pulled off. he is the "rocket man" (since he actually has a degree in some science). he gets the pole about 1/3 the time and seems to stretch his fuel tank more than his competition.
it would be impossible to produce all 'em horse power and still have extra fuel left. (at least that's what the arguement is). he already 8 wins and all of dodge's wins have come from this guy. His teammate, who also runs the same engine, is in 14th place in the standings and is not impressive at all. i'm just wondering how the hell these guys pull this off week in and week out. If you are going to comment something like "NASCAR sucks" or something of that degree, please refrain yourself. No negative comments on NASCAR as a sport please. |
I think Ryan and his team just work harder. NASCAR has looked at his setup seven ways from Sunday and have found no evidence of cheating. I know the other drivers surely would like to know Ryan's secret to gas mileage. So would I.
If Newman had not had such a horrendous first third of the season, he would be far ahead in cup points. |
NACAR SUCKS!
*hijack* =) |
They had talked about some of Newmans edge being a smaller carb, but I don't think that is all of it. I think something is fishy, especially considering Dodge is notorious for getting the worst fuel economy of the three engines used in NASCAR.
One of the things that has helped them is they are willing to gamble, and have been EXTREMELY fortunate that caution flags and what not have worked in their favor. Also, the aero rules being what they are, the only was your car will run fast is being out in front, Newman doesn't get through traffic exceptionally well. |
Don't think Nascar would allow a smaller carb. Besides a smaller carb wouldn't allow the horsepower to win eight races.

He's not cheating - they've looked at that car ten zillion times with a fine toothed comb. He is by far the smoothest driver on the accelerator - that saves a lot of fuel - The engine builder has something going that the others haven't figured out yet - rules need to be changed to eliminate the "fuel mileage" races. Their not using a smaller carb - (which would be legal) because there is no way they could make the horsepower they're making - he's saving fuel and running faster at the same time - that takes horsepower.

This sounds like one of those jealously deals, ppl just cant stand the fact that this driver is having a good year?
|
He cheats as much as every other team cheats. And yes, they all cheat.
|
Please. Nobody cheats in NASCAR. Every race is perfectly on the level.
Next thing you'll tell me is that pro wrestling is fake. -Mikey |
They probably all cheat but it's because NASCAR doesn't know all the rules themselves and sometimes I think the officials make them up on the fly.
|
yeah I don't think there is any cheating going on they would've been all over him already!!!
