One-Sided Offenses
I was wondering what people thought about this.
Examples Run : Nebraska Pass : Texas Tech I just dont think that being one sided will get you anywhere. I know that nebraska is undefeated, but they will not win against good teams with a one sided offense. Same thing for texas tech. Both are coming to austin and i dont think they have a chance because of the one sidedness. I dont think we'll see a one-sided team will win the national championship this year or any in the near future. |
Anything is possible.
We'll see. |
Oh Dude, you're so wrong. It is very easy to win with a one sided offense, hell, Nebraska has won national titles in the past.
As long as you run that one offense to perfection, it doesn't matter. |

As for those natl championships, they are history. I dont think they can win anymore just by running the ball. The defense knows what the offense is going to do on every single play and is gonna come prepared. |
Well obviously, considering Nebraska doesn't have the right players.
You're saying one-sided offenses either aren't successful, or don't work. While you can look back, even as few as 10 years ago to see one-sided offenses that are absolutely dominating. What happened? They phased out, it's what happens every decade or so, some teams take a stumble and fall back to the middle of the pack. Oh, and the defenses know what's coming? If that's so important as to why one sided offenses are bad, how can Texas Tech put up 60 points a game? |

look @ what happened when they played a real good team (see loss to OU 60-15). if a team shuts down their passing game, they're like a man w/o legs. cant go anywhere. |
