Coulden't agree more.

First couple innings were shaky, I love the fact he drilled sheffer in the hand, and didn't think twice about it.

He's awsome. =)

There was an article in the chicago tribune about all the training he went through to get to this level. Pretty amazing stuff. His command and the movement on his ball is awe inspiring. Corners every time. one more win baby.

If I was starting a franchise and could pick any player in baseball to be the cornerstone first pick to start off, it'd be Prior no question. Young, talented, hard worker, amazing stuff....

Pains me as a Cards fan to say this: Prior is simply awesome. I read somewhere that he is the cloest any pitcher has some to the "perfect" delivery. No wasted movement, no jerky movements, simply flawless.

Lets just hope his arm holds out, throwing 120 balls everytime out is not going to be good in the long run.

He is prolly the best pitcher in the majors right now.....undoubtedly in the top 5......this guy is a fucking stud.....the way he shut down the Braves in game 3 was incredible. Complete game 2 hitter with 1 run given up and 7Ks against the best offense in the National League and perhaps the majors.....the guy is a fucking stud....PERIOD!

Why didn't they play Prior in the opener against the Marlins?

He starts tomarrow. Zambrano was the most rested, plus, that leaves Prior or wood open for game 7. Prior or wood start today, neither can pitch game 7, cuz most likely they would pitch games 5 and 6 =/

And if Prior starts tomarrow, you have to assume one of the 2 win a game, which makes it go at least to game 5. Prior can pitch an elimination 5, and leaves wood able to pitch an elimination game 6 as well. They both win, they pitch game 6 and 7.
