Mundine to undergo tests
Quote:
Boxer Anthony Mundine says he has lost $150,000 by pulling out of a world title fight against American Antwun Echols.
Mundine says he was suffering from a virus related to chronic fatigue syndrome and will have further tests this week.
Mundine is the promoter for the fight which has been re-scheduled to next month.

He says he simply was not fit enough to fight last week.
"Well it isn't the flu, it's a severe case of, it's related to chronic fatigue and if anyone knows about that, knows that physically you just can't," he said.
"I wouldn't have been able. I might have been competitive for five to six rounds."
Mundine says he is not avoiding Echols and is looking forward to their re-scheduled fight.
"You know, why would I waste $150,000 down the gurgler," he said.
"If I didn't want to fight the guy, I wouldn't have signed a contract to fight him. So, you know, all this conjecture in the air talking about this, talking about that, I just want to be 100 per cent."

I can't wait to see Mundine get pounded - will be good to see his trap shut after being beaten.
And the chronic fatigue crap is just that crap - it doesn't generally occur on the eve of a match fight.
