Lennox or Tyson ok and Ali

Who is your prefered boxer? mine personaly is Lennox Lewis!

Tandem 08-11-2003 08:31 AM

Neither - IMHO - both are as ugly and as dumb as eachother.

Muhammad Ali now there's someone to aspire to. If you aspire to boxers.

iceman2032 08-11-2003 08:54 AM

Ali by a mile

BigGov 08-11-2003 02:13 PM

Prefered? Neither. One's a pompous cocky jackass and the other is just a fuck up.

Arturo Gatti, Cory Sanders, and Roy Jones Jr. A small sample of the list of fighters I prefer over those two useless meatbags.

agentsmith 08-11-2003 03:32 PM

I didn't know too much about Ali, but I would still pick him.

Blu2e354 08-11-2003 04:08 PM

Tyson fights are aloyt more energetic and fun to watch.

BigGov 08-11-2003 05:30 PM

Tyson fights are energetic and fun to watch?

Watch Ward vs. Gatti I, II, and III.

Tyson is boring in compairson.

bobw 08-11-2003 08:50 PM

between the two...Lewis.

best thing for the sport would be a Jones vs Tyson match... that way Tyson will lose to a blown up middleweight and be out of the sport for good.

jhericurl21 08-12-2003 02:35 PM

Tyson for entertainment,Lennox for boxing skills

but Roy Jones is in his own league

Kurant 08-12-2003 06:43 PM

Haha. Cory Sanders. Haven't heard that name even mentioned in ages till he beat Vladamir.

They both suck. I really think Lewis is done. He already said he won't fight again this year. Just seems as if Lewis leaves. The Heavywheight division has no mega-fight to offer anymore. It's going to take a long time to re-build. Lennox is really the last of the most recent-decent era in heavywheight boxing.

He can't go out without fighting Jones. I think if they fought, that would be the last fight for both of them.

BigGov 08-13-2003 12:05 AM

Cory Sanders has just had horrible management.

Lefthanded Heavyweight with experience, good boxing skills, and one hell of a power punch. He's fun to watch.

Heavyweights have mega-fights, they just need to promote them to the media and have them be GOOD fights.

How Ward vs. Gatti is not a PPV is beyond belief. Hell, make it a $20 PPV and almost everyone will get it.

Lewis already has the legacy of ducking the bigger fighters because the "money isn't good enough." So Jones gets Sanders instead. IMO Lewis can take the money he has and shove it up his ass while the rest of us can watch an entertaining fight.

out of that list... Lennox - he may be full of it, but at least he´s not an insane rapist.

seriously, apart from Ali, i think my top boxer would be Roy Jones Jr.
he may not have the pure size and reach to match it with Lennox, but hes still incredible (and he´s also a nice guy - whos addicted to hot chocolates).

can someone tell me whatever happened to Sugar Shane Moseley?

3 Words... MAJOR LEAGUE BOXING...
We need it...
Call me when / if it ever happens
I'll be waiting...
Cheese

BigGov 08-14-2003 05:19 AM

It won't happen for a long time if it ever happens at all. Why? Same reason there's no playoff in College Football, m-o-n-e-y.

rodgerd 08-15-2003 01:03 PM

Between the two of them? Lewis. Tyson's a thug, and the first time he fought someone who walked into the ring, understood how to box, and wasn't intimidated, he was beaten soundly.

Since then, and boxer who knows what he's doing has been able to beat Tyson.

Lewis is a smart boxer, if a little lazy.

zubrei 08-16-2003 03:39 AM

Tyson at 20 would have beaten a prime Lewis. But after Tyson lost to Buster Douglas he was essentially finished. Tyson isn't even on the same planet as Lewis at the present moment.

He's fighting DeLaHoya in September! He's still around. This fight means everything for him.

Porkchop 08-17-2003 11:03 PM

Doc this will be one hell of a rematch. Means a lot to both fighters.
Regarding Tyson and Lewis. Neither do it for me. Cant stand Lewis nor Tyson really. If Lewis had fought Tyson at peak i think Tyson would come out on top. Same when Lewis fought Holyfield. Lewis came good just the right time. Simple as that.

plinko 08-17-2003 11:10 PM

Neither one, both have personality problems

stonecurran 08-18-2003 12:22 AM

tyson in his hay day but at the moment lewis.
