The T'Wolves
Im a T'Wolves fan and Id say that we made some good pickups by getting Latrell Spreewell, Olowakandi and Cassel. Finally, KG has some scoring help other than Wally. Hopefully this year they can make it out of the first round.
|
I think the Wolves are going to be very tough. Their starting five is as good as anyones other than the Lakers, and I don't think they are that far behind the Lakers.
|
Everyone always gets down on Wally. But he needed to step up like that cause the scoring options weren't there.
I think Minnesota is the clear winner in this trade. (What the hell were the Knicks thinking? Keith Van Horn?) Minnesota can really make their push now - as long as Olowakandi plays well. Cause some of the big guys out west can normally beat him. |
well i live in australia so i don't have a team as such, but i am a big sprewell fan and have been for ages, so basically i am jumping on the wolves bandwagon. They defiantly could match the lakers, although they don't have as good as a starting 5, they do have more depth and versitility.
Remember troy hudson dominating last year, with KG, in the playoffs |
If the Lakers don't win 72 games, it will be because of the Timberwolves. daamn what an off season.

damn you west coast!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im an orlando magic fan and weve been stuck in the first round forever just like the twolves. were not going anywhere with juwan howard. damn the west coast and damn grant hill. |

There's a Kiwi guy who missed selection at the draft but played for Minnesotta in the Summer League. Will be interesting to see if he gets a contract. |
The T-Wolves will be a damn good team, and thats good, because I like the T-Wolves quite a bit, until they play the Spurs. Thats my team baby.
And yeah, I pity the east coast. |
The T-Wolves with their moves I believe will be 3rd of 4th in the west behind the Lakers and Spurs. The moves obviously were made to please KG so he will resign next year.
|
They have improved themselves mightily but they will most likely still choke in the playoffs anyways.
|
That is another good thing about the deals. KG was upset they werent making moves and was likely gone next year. But with these moves I think he will back after next year.

The west is a stacked deck, but here's where I sense a lot of danger...
We have 5 teams now with GREAT starting lineups. On paper. T'wolves have two of the worst chemistry killers in the league: alien face and predator head. Not to mention a center who sat out all of the second half last year because he didn't like his team. Trust me, Kandi coulda played if he wanted to. Position by position, Minnesota improved, but their ability to mesh with eachother will be tested. My team, the Lakers have landed the best deal since the Luisiana Purchase. That doesn't mean we're home free. GP talks about running our offense on ESPN, but we run a triangle where we don't need a true PG. He's gonna be a crowbar in the gears if he doesn't conform to PJ. The Spurs improved a tiny bit, and missed out on a little bit. They had a great core last year and they no longer have the Admiral to bring it all together. Kings have been good for a while now, but they are gonna experience what the Lakers did last year - minimal moves and old crickety veterans do not a champion make. Mavs will be Mavs. There is no D in Dallas and thus no rings either. |
Minnesota is the fifth team in the West right now. That's good news, considering the fourth team should either be the Kings or the Mavs, two teams that so far have gotten worse throughout this offseason.
McHale has truely created a team to watch next year, however, it will all go out the window if he can't get Garnett to re-sign next year. |
Just makes me wonder-i've seen a lot of lineups and individual stars that were going to make the wolves great, and i've seen a lot of them choke. That said, we needed the depth. Wally's good, but too much play and he starts looking hella tired. The playoffs this year case in point. If this takes some of that pressure off, it could be what the team needs.

The Orlando Magic wouldnt have been stuck in the first rd if it werent for T-Mac's big mouth. If he had not said anything to give the Pistons motivation, being a Pistons fan, I do believe that they would have eliminated them, and that would have been the upset of the playoffs.
