pre cum problems
I'm a heterosexual male in my mid 40s. A year or so ago I started developing this weird reaction. When talking on the phone or even e-mailing a woman I leak a lot of pre cum - without any erection or sense that I am sexually stimulated - these are generally non suggestive, non erotic conversations. This also happens in the presence of certain women. And if I get into a foreplay situation (even just kissing) I leak even more (from being hard). Up until last year this virtually never happened.
This doesn't occur with all women. When with ex lovers, even those I still desire it rarely happens. Nor with women friends. It's driving me crazy as it creates very embarrassing situations, plus is just plain uncomfortable getting all wet. I seem to have no control over this new penile behavior. Anyone out there with similar experience or have ideas/suggestions how to overcome (no pun intended) this problem? Any idea what might have caused it? Many thanks. |
Go to the urologist. Very soon.
Might be perfectly normal (wouldn't know, I've never been 40), although you'd think we'd have heard of it. Even so, can't hurt to get it looked at. |
If you think that there's even a tiny chance of having contracted an STD (ever) then get yourself to a doctor. Hell, go anyway to get yourself checked up.
Any unusual secretions should be looked into immediately, as they're usually a warning sign, or even symptoms of a current problem. |
I think you guys are probably overestimating the seriousness of this.
It may very well be a change in his body chemistry is causing his plumbing to work differently, but I really doubt it's an STD of any kind. What he is describing fits no known STD, as pertains to a man's symptoms. Women on the other hand should definetly investigate any strange secretions : p Your handle is very appropo. |

My advice is: Doctor. Soon. Look, if your body suddenly started acting in a strange and uncomfortable way, wouldn't you want to go get it looked at by someone who could help with it? Who knows, maybe he's perfectly healty and there's an Anti-Dribble drug for guys just like him. You're saying he SHOULDN'T go look into that? |
No, no. You're misinterpreting what I said. It's my fault, I should have made it more clear.
While I don't think he should worry about it, I do recommend he goes to a doctor. I definetly have gotten smaller things checked out. It is clearly bothering him, and it isn't normal for him - which is why he should go. People worry enough without jumping the gun. I wouldn't worry until a doctor tells you to your face 'This is symptomatic of a cancer forming in your prostate, putting excessive pressure on your seminal vesicles, causing you to leak.' Sorry for the confusion. |
Thanks for your input. I'm sure it's not STD related. It's not that kind of discharge. Nonetheless, it is troublesome. It only occurs in the situations I mentioned. I have thought of going to a urologist. It's kinda awkward for me. Initially the symptoms only occured when in an active physical, sexual situation. That was cause for some concern. But when it started happening in non sexual situations that is when I really became worried. Somehow my body seems to be getting aroused when I am not even conscious of it. Leaking when not even erect. Pretty weird!
If others want to weigh in on this I'd appreciate it. It's made me timid and uptight in that I have been shying away from potential sexual situations. Not a good thing. Thanx again folks! |
Although I generally wouldn't advise it -- masturbate more? It could be "god jacking you off", ala Nocturnal Emissions. Perhaps lowering the amount of fluid in there would prevent the blowoff valve from overflowing?

Did a little google searching and found my advice, in doctor lingo:
"Regular ejaculations may reduce the quantity of preseminal fluid." |
Thanks for the advice. Have already tried it. Also tried complete avoidance/anstinence. Can't tell any difference. Surprising (to me at least) I can't find much online about this condition. Can't believe I'm a medical anomaly. Anyone know much about the parasympathetic nerve? I doubt these purveyors of chemical (pills) fixes.

So, have you made your doctor appointment yet?
|
Uhh.. yeah. Your car starts leaking fluid, you take it to the mechanic, right? Why should your body be any different? I'm not going to say that it's anything serious because the odds are very good that it's not, but it's pretty clear at this point that we don't have the answer. Go to the doc and see what he says; that's what he's there for, after all.
