I am having issues with condoms. I can't find a decent brand. I HATE fumbling with the package in the dark and I CAN'T FEEL ANYTHING when I get them on.

What brand do you use?

I use Trojan Her Pleasure condoms. I don't know if they actually do anything for Her, but it doesn't hurt to try.

As for not feeling as much during sex, I've kind of just taken that condoms're going to do that. I know I've never felt as much with one on, but it's always been the contact and bonding that happened during sex that's more important to me anyway. That, and I'm not going to not wear a condom at this point. And it's not like I don't feel anything...

Maybe you could try out one of those brands made specifically to be thin yet durable. Offhand I think Durex is supposed to be better for that than, say, Trojan... but I have a monster pack to use before I go out and try other kinds.

Try Durex Avanti. They're non-latex and extra thin so you get more sensation.

That's our brand as well. My wife likes them much better than others. Comparatively expensive, but sex is worth it, and Amazon has some decent deals on them.

And us poor bastards that are allergic to latex. They are non-latex, and cost about 16 bucks for 5. Quite expensive, yes, but cheaper than a newborn baby. :)

I had to go on the pill at 16 or 17 and finally wanted to get off of them when I was 28 or 29. My sex drive returned - I feel healthier, and I am so happy that my husband is willing to share the burden of contraception.

You have to fumble with them, yes...the pleasure of bareback is gone, yes...but when I show up with a condom package in my teeth...he knows exactly what I want. :D

Lifestyles are pretty good for the price.

Have you tried the Kimono ones? They're super thin and still effective. I guess they're latex, but as I recall ktspktsp did like them better than the ones we usually use (I forget which those are, but I'm sure he'll join in this thread later). :)

I must say, we use the Ring and condoms every time... yes, not having a baby is THAT important to us! We both miss going without condoms (not to mention going without birth control), but we haven't made it a huge issue. We are both making sacrifices to be sure we don't end up getting pregnant before we are ready.

I think it may be a mental thing almost as much as it is a physical thing (the loss of sensation). Attitude.

If you hate the package, have you considered those Lifestyles condoms with the crazy pop-top deal?

Condoms suck. I'd almost rather not have sex period than use a condom. When we do have sex, we use the thinnest possible. I always wondered why everyone said sex was sooo great...well, it turns out that all of those people that bragged about how awesome it was aren't using condoms at all (pill). Well of course sex would be great without having a rubber glove on your penis!

I heard the thinner condoms like Durex Avanti and Kimonos are less durable. Is that true? I just use Trojan Supra not much feeling but I guess as long as she feels something it's all that matters.

Hmmm I suppose Trojan. The Twisted Pleasure ones are decent.... pretty thin too. Condoms are just all around a pain in the ass. The pill is fabulous. :)

I've had this problem in the past, but I've found that most condoms that say "Ultra thin" or "Super thin" are the way to go. Funny thing is, in my three years of being sexually active, I've broken about 8 condoms, NONE of which were Ultra Thin. I think the thin ones have more elasticity and can stretch a bit more. But anyways, the ultra thin condoms are almost like having sex without a condom...ALMOST. But hey, almost is better than having a "towel" or a "rubber glove" wrapped around your penis.

One thing I really don't need at this point is a broken condom and "Little Astroclouds" running around. Thanks for the suggestions folks and keep them cumming.

condoms suck...i found mates ones the lesser of all the evils though...does using lube help?or ribbed ones?

Worked wonders for me. Some women do experience some nasty side effects, but I didn't. I had a few but once my body got used to it, I was fine.

Im allergic to latex...we use Trojan Supra's....of course with any condom it cuts the sensation..but Dave says with these he can feel more than with most.

Kimono Ultra Thins were what Martel and I used... we both liked them a lot. head on over to condoms.com or goodvibes.com and pick up a sampler pack of condoms. Martel and I did it when we had to use condoms and not only was it fun trying them all out, we got to find one that worked well for both of us!

We don't really use condoms any more, but when we did he preferred Durex Ultra Sensitive. He says they were better than most for transferring sensation.

I'm so glad I don't use condoms anymore. I could never feel anything while wearing one.

I find it interesting how some of the posters talk about giving up condoms like they gave up on something bad for you, and that they're proud of it. It's not like an addiction to smoking or something. Most of us don't enjoy using a condom, and I think just about everyone would stop using them if we could.

Yeah, I don't like condoms, neither does my SO, but they're just damn necessary for us right now. If we go "off" them, why would I post here and "brag" about how great it is to not use them... some people really prefer to use them, for where they are at in their lives or because birth control is harmful to the woman.

I'm also freshly back from Zambia, where "condom" is a filthy word and men in the rural areas refuse to use them. As a result, over half of Zambia seems to be infected with HIV/AIDS, and most men have 2-3 wives who each have 8-10 children. So I'm not gonna trash talk condoms just because we Westerners are lucky enough to have women's lib and also be able to afford birth control.

Kimono Microthins and Pleasure Plus were my favorites. Trojan twisted pleasure and inspiral had a good idea but felt to me like I was wearing a trash bag with all of that extra material sliding around.

Condoms are great, but not so great. I would rather have it on than have little ones running around. I did the patch method and my hormones went crazy, so I ditched that detail. So far sooooo gooooood! :)

That said, Trojan Her Pleasures were always my favorite.. even if they were a bit expensive.. One tip I read once was to have a little tub of lube sitting by the bed with the condom dropped in it pre-coitus. That way, you reach in and grab it and its super-easy to put on and put in..

I don't love the glove myself, but I do use it, because my wife isn't on the pill anymore ( and I"m glad because I'm convinced the pill messes up a womans body) and I still want to have sex. My wife also loves the dome because there's no clean up for her. Personally, I've forgotten how sex feels au naturel, so when the time comes when we're trying to have another child, I'm probably going to cum on thrust number 1 or 2.

I want to try Kimono super thin condoms and Durex Avanti but do they offer the same durability and protection?

If anything, they seem to be better than ordinary latex condoms. But if protection is your main worry, Durex Extra Safe are good. And surprisingly thin.

We use Twisted Pleasures by Trojan....I find most of the other brands have too much lube on them, and that makes it really hard to feel anything in itself. Plus, the twists do help you to feel your partner cum, which I'd never been able to feel before.

well i don't know if they are available in the us in stores, but i'm sure you can find them online. It's a british company 'Contex'. I only actually used them in Russia but that a different story. Anyways the one you want is called 'Black Rose' Now unless the color turns you off (they are actually black) these are the best condoms I have ever found. Like you i despise my rubber companions (as muchas I do love them at times) and have lost one or two erections over the fuss.

Not so with the black rose, i'm not sure if it's a different latex or what, but these just always slide on much easier and stay put. Having used well over 150 I've never had a break or other problem with them. Hope you can find them, actually maybe I'll go look myself as my girl gets back in coutry end of the month...

Okay Kimono wasn't great but a little better than the michelan ones I was using. I had one break and the "extra large" didn't seem so large. Nevertheless it was still better than normal.

Just the thought of having to fumble around and put one on is an erection destroyer for me.

I'd rather just engage in oral / mutal masturbation if a condom is a requirement.
