You meet a girl you like on Friday night at a club or pub... she gives you her number, when should you call? (assuming your gonna call)

Personally I've never been into giving/getting numbers from strangers. I wouldn't hesitate to call, because if you really like eachother then it dosen't matter, but if your in it just for the sex or something, I guess you might not want to look desperate.

and just so that I actually contributed.....If I gave a guy my number and he didnt call by the next day.....I'd be sorely disappointed in him

There's no set of rules.. if you are interested... Call her... as long as you don't call her 5 minutes after getting her number... just call her.

Sunday...cause it's a relaxed day, and you can chat at ease...and you make it look like you were out having fun Saturday, have a life and were busy so didn't call...calling sunday is also soon enough for her to know you like her. Gives her a good start to the week, puts a smile on her face for monday...:) Good luck

I'd say wait at least a week.... Waiting instead of calling her right away the next day will set you apart from the other uninspiring eager schmucks she's dealt with in the past.

If you plan on going out on Friday, call Wednesday. Gotta call a few days in advance so she doesn't make other plans.

If you are interested in her then give her a call the next day. I know if I was out and met a guy that I liked well enough to give out my number to then I wouldn't mind if he called me the next day to make plans to do something.

I say call the next day, if you like her then why wait? If you wait too long to call her then she might not even remember who you were. Plus, let's say she also gave her number out to another guy but he didn't wait several days to call her. Now she is going out with him instead of you, in which case you screwed yourself over. However, like maleficent stated, just don't call her immediately after getting her number, that would seem a little weird.

I'd say call Sunday. Any later she might feel like an afterthought, sooner and you might seem over-eager and scare her away. But call early in the day Sunday, so there's time for you to get together that day if you want to be spontaneous.

Call her when you want. The whole business of calling to soon is desperate or waiting and you look like player is soooo high school. What I do is ask when it is a good time to call. Simply and to the point. But I'm almost 40 so time is factor in these matters.

I just call when I have a spare moment. Calculating the days isn't so much of a big deal- If I already have plans Saturday night I might wait till Sunday, if I'm doin homework all day it might be Monday, or else I might call Saturday morning and see if she wants to go out Sat night with me. Depends on how much she interested me also.

I voted Saturday, because that's when I'd call a hot girl who gave me her number, but coming from the other side, if I'd given out my number Friday, I'd be pleased if she called me any time the following week.

I personally like Wednesdays or Thursdays. If the person recognizes your name still after a bit of time, then you're likely to have a chance at a real relationship, I think. Then you can be sure (s)he wasn't just giving out his/her number to everyone!

If you are really interested call Saturday. No reason to play BS games and maybe miss the girl of your dreams. Games are BS and if she wants to play some, find a new phone number.

I would say... the next day? Calling right when you get home is a little weird, but so is waiting most of a week, you should really show people that you think about them more than that often.

Unless you don't, in which case, why are you calling her?

Age old question, amigo. I voted for Sunday with really no rhyme or reason.

The cool kids will probably tell you to hold off and wait. The stalkers and obsessive types will say call her the next morning. To call or not to call depends on the situation. If you were really into her and she seemed really into you, then go for it. If you two were drunk and you can't really remember what the hag looked like, then play it safe and give it a couple days to convince yourself she's not a hag.

I suppose I'm one to really think about someone and if I want them to be around. Typically, if I have any doubts, I don't call.

Monday or tuesday. Not too soon not too late. By Monday afternoon you (should) be back to a fully sober and hangover free state. That's when the best time is to call, you are both levelheaded and you still have a lot of nice memories of eachother.

i prefer when guys wait a few days...otherwise i just feel uncomfortable that they are "too" interested

I'd say call Saturday but not too early in the morning. And the phone call should not necessarily be about setting up a date. More of an extension of the conversations from the previous evening.

What I tend to do is just phone in a couple of days time and arrange to meet a couple of days after that for something casual like lunch. 100% success rate so far, but that's probably because I'm over the initial hurdle once I've got the phone number.

the major rule is..you give her YOUR number..that way it's her decision... if she gives you her number call the next day in the afternoon.. before plans are made but where she has had enough time to wake up and get going for the day.
