Date - Location - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

What's a good place to go if you want a somewhat relaxing mood, someplace where we can talk, and eventually cuddle.

Suggestions for places other than our houses are appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm. It depends where you live, but some kind of lounge-cafe that gets really quiet. If there's nothing like that, then I suggest creating a relaxed atmosphere at home.

It depends where you are in the world, is it cold or warm? If it's warm, an outdoor location with a warm blanket should be cosy enough, somewhere with plenty of stars to gaze at, take a few candles in holders (wind could blow them out), some wine maybe even mint tea, perhaps a flower to offer to your date. If it's too cold, a cosy café-bar with an intimate feel, somewhere with an ethnic mood and soft music(smouldering lights and warm colours) is perfect...also that doesn't get too full of course. All of this would work for me.

Agree with everyone else. If you are near a beach, try going there. I can't think of many places that you can go that you have privacy. Some coffee shops have secluded areas that are good for talking,etc. I enjoy restaurants with outdoor areas. These are the best. Go to a park after dark and bring candles. Make sure it is not windy.

Ooh, you know, the Geminid Meteor Shower is happening right now, and it's supposed to be spectacular. There'll be a new moon on the 12th, which will coincide with the densest part of the shower. Should be an awesome night for skywatching.

Here's what you do. Find a field somewhere WELL out of town. Take plenty of blankets and a big thermos full of hot tea or coffee or chocolate or whatever it is you kids drink these days. Couple of pillows.

You know for the scientific value of the event.

i forgot to mention, its been pretty cold lately, snow some days. winter is on the horizon, so i can't do parks or most outdoor things. it gets very cold at night with the wind.

not sure where you're at, but fondue places tend to be darkly lit and sort of foster a romantic mood, especially since it can take quite a while for the food to be ready. add to that, you can spend the night feeding each other.
