It's been a year
It's been exactly 1 year since my ex-girlfriend and I broke up. I thought I was moving on then suddenly almost on que all the feelings came back out of nowhere. My heart just took a swan dive. I haven't been able to sleep for the last few days. I want to start meeting new girls again but I feel like I have been out of the loop. I've lost my mojo! Any advice?

if you still have feelings for her try to talk to her...

i have zero useful advice but when you figure out what works, tell me

Do what he did in Austin Powers.. Get your mojo back! Only kidding.. I'm a complete loser so I don't know jack shit about nothing..

I wouldn't suggest calling her, catching up, etc. She's probably moved on and if she says yes to a coffee, you're going to get a double whammy: your feelings for her will all come flooding back, AND you're going to hate to hear about her new partner, the success she's had in her career, how happy she is these days, how things are going well, etc.
If she wanted you guys to get back together she'd have called you by now. I'd say your feelings coming back now are just a temporary thing, because you've realized it's been a whole year and it's fair enough that your mind drifts to thoughts of her. I say just give it a little time, don't let your mind linger on her, and reserve those feelings for somebody else. Get back out there... the quickest way to get over someone is to get under someone else. |
Don't bother. I suggest spending an hour or two and identifying your ideal partner. Be specific -what do you like? Write it all down and make a list.
It wasn't a month or two after doing this that I realized that this chick I knew... was her! Now, still 10 years later, she's my wife! |
