After Sex
 

Everytime my girlfriend and i have sex ( NOT VERY OFTEN ) She freaks out and thinks she is missing her period ( we use protection ) and i buy a 3 pack or so of pregnancy test because its cheaper and she uses all 3 instead of saving one.

Anyway, Lately i have been thinking about Putting sprem in a sperm bank, and getting a Vasectomy. The cost of storage would be 250.00 a year for the sperm, but i figure thats like 20 bucks a month. If my insurance will cover most, if not all of the costs of getting the Vasectomy, I really am contemplating having it done.

I figure when i am ready to have kids, my sperm will still be there, and i can have them, and all can be fine and dandy.

Any ideas or opinions on this?

Unless you're married, or have kids, no doctor will perform a vasectomey. I think this has been covered in in tilted sexuality, many many times.

Ask your girlfriend if she would be interested in getting on the pill. That way she would be 99.9% sure she wasn't pregnant. Maybe she is not quite ready to be in a sexual relationship if she worries about being pregnant every time you have protected intercourse.

How long have you been with your girlfriend? Has she been pregnant in the past, does she have a reason not to trust you, or the pregnancy tests? I think she's going way over the top. Being concerned and responsible is one thing, but going this far is worrying to me.

(Presuming a doctor would allow it), getting a vasectomy sounds like a huge, huge step to me. If you two aren't seriously planning on getting married I think an operation would be going way too far. (I'm also not convinced that her taking the Pill will settle her fears at all.) Having a vasectomy/her having her tubes tied would be the very final step I'd be willing to take to prevent pregnancy, even though the operation is reversable and not life-threatening, etc.

I think her fears are ungrounded, and reaching for a pregnancy test or getting a vasectomy avoids the problem, and doesn't face it. You and her should go to a doctor or a clinic together and get the doctor to discuss a range of birth control options and hopefully she can have her fears put to rest. It sounds to me like she has had a bad experience with pregnancy in the past and is terrified it will happen again.

Some other form of birth control plus condom will really help your cause. See if she can either get on the pill or the patch. Neither is very expensive.

don't clip yourself like that. I think you should talk to you lady and see why she's freaking out after sex. It would be foolish to limit yourself by getting an operation as you can't un-do it.

My goodness...if she is that paranoid about getting pregnant, use LOTS of BC (as in two or three forms - condoms, pill, etc...), or she ought to keep her legs shut. It's that simple. Good grief.

Get her to a doctor. Seriously. I was paranoid (but not as much as she is) and talking to my doctor really helped me understand what was really happening. Please tale your girl to the doctor and have her talk to someone who knows what they are talking about and that she'll believe. She needs to be on some sort of birth control and understand what is happening to her body. If she isn't ready for that, she isn't ready for a sexual relationship.

Yea I have to agree. I have no idea how old you guys are but it sounds like she isn't ready for a sexual relationship. I've never heard of anyone being THAT paranoid before. If I were you I would definetly NOT have the operation. Put her on birth control and keep wearing your condoms and tell her not to freak out. Oh, and is she actually missing all these periods or is she just jumping the gun and assuming she WILL miss them? I think in the future, you'll be glad you didn't have the operation and that you were actually involved in the conception of your children in a way other than masturbating in a cup 10 years ago.
