Actually my preference in this turned against me once with an ex who used it to avoid sex sometimes. She would say that she was on hers when she wasn't. I would have appreciated some honesty.

It doesn't (or wouldn't) bother me but my wife has no interest in sex at that time. I think we've done it 1-2 times in the 22 years we've been together. She isn't interested in sex when she isn't having her period and she definitely doesn't want it when she is.
