Songs to Make out/Have sex to

Anyone have any suggestions? I wanna make a CD for this sole purpose.

I was thinking, for teenagers atleast, that acoustic punk music would be good. Any suggestions for current (no more than 5 years old, unless it's a classic) music?

I dunno if this belongs in music or sexuality, but I'll leave it here.

WarWagon 05-23-2004 11:15 PM

Deftones. Other than that, I can't think of much else that's under 5 years old.

Xsas 05-23-2004 11:29 PM

Deftones. If you want hate-sex, right? lol.

WarWagon 05-24-2004 12:29 AM

Works for regular sex for me. But hey, if you think that sex is fun with some whiney teenager playing the guitar in the background, to each his own ;)

blahblah454 05-24-2004 12:34 AM

id personally go for some children of bodom or nevermore! now that is some gooood humping music!!! heh no although those are 2 of my favorite bands id have to go with some older stuff
i know you said recent but LISTEN to what i got to say! and listen to the porno bass beat in these songs: Anyone seen my baby - Rolling Stones
okay thats all i can remember! but listen to it, its a good one

ktthequeen 05-24-2004 12:50 AM

Marvin Gaye:
Sexual Healing
Let's Get it On (I don't think there's a song that's better than this)

Barry White
Can't Get Enough
My First, My Last, My Everything

Rod Stewart
Tonite's the Night

pinklily 05-24-2004 05:43 AM

Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hate On

jRuntlets 05-24-2004 08:51 AM

Personally, I think Tool's Lateralus album would be good. I'd also have to agree with the votes for Deftones! :P

jayman2004 05-24-2004 09:50 AM

city of angels soundtrack...

losthellhound 05-24-2004 09:52 AM

call me strange

- "Im only happy when it rains"
- "It Can't Rain All The Time" - Jane Siberry
- "Figured you Out"

Sugar&Spice 05-24-2004 11:56 AM

Sexual Healing--Ben Harper (something about his voice is just so hot!!)
I'll Make Love to You--Boys II Men

micah67 05-24-2004 02:23 PM

Ravel's "Bolero" - See if you can last 16 minutes... ;)

mattgical 05-24-2004 02:38 PM

R. Kelly!!!!!

Mephex 05-24-2004 03:03 PM

Marvin Gaye, Radiohead, KC & JoJo ( or Jodeci) , Sade, Air, Enya, Ginuwine, Keith Sweat.

la petite moi 05-24-2004 03:14 PM

Radiohead, definitely. And not R Kelley.

Bobaphat 05-24-2004 03:19 PM

Air makes good make out music.
kinda electronic though, not very punk really

FFT 05-24-2004 03:40 PM

I lost my virginity to "yesterday" by the Beatles.

She really liked it. . .

ratbastid 05-24-2004 03:52 PM

I have an mp3 playlist (the '00's version of the Mix Tape) of dark downtempo techno that's great for sex. Thing is, lurkette and I sort of burned it out a few months ago, and it's been hard to listen to ever since.

Enigma's album MCXLC a.d. is the quintissential sex music.

Nafter 05-24-2004 04:00 PM

Massive attack
Faithless
Portishead
any trip-hop infact :D

Incubus Dreams 05-24-2004 06:43 PM

Pretty much anything by Enigma.
"Sadeness" from the album MCMXC a.D. springs immediately to mind.
Though this qualifies more as "Love making" music than straight sex music in my book.

DOH! I see now that RatBastid truly does speak the truth, but I actually specified a song title, and corrected the album name, so I'll go ahead and post.

SabrinaFair 05-24-2004 06:46 PM

"Color Blind" by Counting Crows
"Lover Lay Down" by Dave Matthews Band
"Lovin' Me" by Nelly
"Wicked Game" by Chris Isaac

Personal favourites of mine.

Melllvar 05-24-2004 06:52 PM

the entire Avalon album by Roxy Music

but defenatly trip hop....ohhh yeah.... deep house is nice as well;)

crow_daw 05-24-2004 10:29 PM

I made out with my present girlfriend for the first time with My Immortal by Evanescence playing in the background, and I felt like I was in a fucking movie. It was glorious.

That being said, if you like R&B, you gotta give Donell Jones a shot. His Where I Wanna Be album is the shit. He's very underrated.

SecretMethod70 05-24-2004 10:45 PM

Music to Make Love By

I almost bought this CD. Good stuff. But I decided to get a DVD instead. I'll probably get it eventually though.

ih8u 05-24-2004 10:55 PM

portishead, get up kids, jawbreaker, jets to brazil, dashboard confessional

Weezil 05-25-2004 12:59 AM

Fuck Radiohead...cheap Marillion rip-offs.

That being said I recommend "10" by Pearl Jam

hossified 05-25-2004 07:59 AM

good call on Portishead and the verve!!! Radiohead is a good call too

I know you're a chick and I gotta man but... will you marry me?!

It's been a long time since my husband and I listened to our old make out music, but we always listened to PM Dawn and Boys II Men. That's as recent as I get!

Blackthorn 05-25-2004 11:31 AM

Enigma 1 and Enigma 2 are OUTSTANDING sex music cd(s) :D

Voyage, Vol 2, Pierre Grill & Brad White -- lighter than Enigma but also a fabulous CD for a rendezvous involving the ultimate droppage of sauce! ;)

johnnymysto 05-25-2004 11:37 AM

EVIDENT 05-25-2004 12:59 PM

I've gotta throw my vote in for Dave Matthews ;)

Some of his music is so sensual it's amazing.

Dashboard Confessional is also a good one.

I guess it depends alot on the style of music you listen to.

greyeyes 05-25-2004 01:16 PM

Lords of Acid.
Any of their songs work.
Hard sex rocks!!

toxic515 05-25-2004 04:59 PM

John Mayer
Colin Hay
Leonard Cohen
BOB Marley...
Aimee Man
and pretty much ANYTHING from Prince.... :-)

Rod Stewart
Tonite's the Night

Excellent list!! Well, almost.

ROD STEWART!!!! bleh!1!

I'd throw in some Sade, Jodeci(for the freaky stuff), and Usher.

BTW, Redgirl , good choices too.

ariekitten 05-26-2004 12:26 AM

ok, i totally agree with sade, dashboard confessional, sneaker pimps, faithless

"flesh" by jan johnston
anything that duncan sheik sings
"this love" by maroon 5
"lovesong" by the cure (well anything they sing really)
"take me away" by 4strings
some of tool's stuff can be really hot during sex....
also dont forget "the bad touch" by the bloodhound gang ;)

tokaok 05-26-2004 12:47 AM

I can feel it by sloan comes to mind, actually alot of their stuff works.

digip 05-26-2004 01:00 AM

Im a fan of David Gray, white ladder.

metalgeek 05-26-2004 05:37 AM

heh, my ex-gf hated it when metallica ended up on my cd player (had a multidisc) things like search and destroy do not make good sex I've found:)
I dunnnow, anything not to distracting...
how bought max graham?
free mp3's of his that are around an hour or more:
http://www.maxgraham.com/frameset_02.html

Slauncha Man 05-26-2004 06:17 PM

"Dragula" by Rob Zombie always did it for me and my ex.

And the newest Deftones album works well, too.

imkeen 05-26-2004 09:29 PM

I've been impressed with John Mayer.

Sada - Love Deluxe --> greatest hits CD, so highest density of good sexy songs, good background for a romaintic "my place" type event. Found to be one of the greatest and most subtle sexual lubricants. :)

Good intense, sexual CDs:
Enigma - MCXMC a.D.
Enigma - The Cross of Changes
Enigma - The Screen Behind the Mirrors (featured on Sliver, I believe)

I had a girlfriend who was into new age and Enya, Yanni and David Lanz (Christophori's Dream) fit the bill with her. I still have fond memories of those days when I hear that stuff.

Yeah, it depends on what kind of mood you're in, because, certainly NIN Closer would be good on occasion, and its fun on the dance floor. ;)

PDOUBLEOP 05-27-2004 06:02 AM

1812 Overture

wraithhibn 05-27-2004 06:08 AM

wallace1 05-27-2004 10:16 AM

I'm just kidding, don't have sex to edgar winter

a1t3r3g0 05-27-2004 10:25 AM

Off topic, but: I don't know about songs, but for some reason my ex and I could never make it through the movie Gone in 60 Seconds without humping. I think maybe we finished the movie one time..

Locobot 12-10-2004 11:45 AM

You fools need to step up and get some Al Green once you're ready for some real lovin'. His newest album is less than 5 years old too.

Rinndalir 12-10-2004 12:21 PM

Well my wife and I are both 80s children so hair metal works for us every time, Guns n Roses if I want to get her REALLY fired up. I actually prefer old instrumental jazz though. Neither of which is less than 5 years old so I guess I'd have so 2nd Portishead, although that's scraping the line, their last album (that I know of anyway) may be older than 5 years.

Oh my goodness - I just scared Livia Regina with that outburst. The thought of someone passionatly involved with that in the background is just to hilarious.

For those interested - some songs that have touched me deeply- and might work.

BonJovi - Always
Hoobastank - The Reason
Def Leppard - you're so beautiful
Savage Garden - The Best Thing

Angel by Massive Attack. But I might just have positive associations with that from watching Snatch and having sex at the same time.

Anything by Sade. Just buy Lovers Rock or Sade's Best Of or anything, really...Watch the sex happen.

spliffy 01-02-2005 10:08 AM

livesets of TRANCE! it just flows so well

ICER 01-02-2005 10:58 AM

Ken Davis playing the pan flutes. It's soothing. Relaxing. Puts her at complete ease. And you'll score points for having tasteful music. The best one for love making is 'Pan Flutes by the Ocean' My wife melts when she hears any selection from that CD.

Hmmm... I'll give this a shot.

Alice Cooper-
House of Fire, Poison, Feed My Frankenstein

AC/DC-
Shoot to Thrill, You Shook Me All Night Long, Let Me Put My Love Into You

Ben Harper-
Steal My Kisses, Faded/Whole Lotta Love (off Live From Mars)

Bob Marley-
Stir It Up, No Woman No Cry, Could You Be Loved, Is This Love

Def Leppard-
Pour Some Sugar On Me

Deftones-
Passenger, Change (I don't know why, but i've always loved screwing to this song)

The Doors-
Soul Kitchen, Twentieth Century Fox, LA Woman,The Crystal Ship, Love Me Two Times, Hello, I Love You, Light My Fire, Gloria

Guns N' Roses-
November Rain, Patience, One In a Million, Sweet Child O' Mine, Rocket Queen, Anything Goes, Breakdown

Jack Johnson-
Flake, Bubble Toes

Led Zeppelin-
Black Dog, Tangerine, In The Evening, Over the Hills and Far Away

Peter Gabriel-
Sledgehammer

Pixies-
Gigantic

Pink Floyd-
Young Lust (Definately the version from Is there Anybody Out There?), San Tropez, Fearless, Wish You Were Here

Rolling Stones-
Shine A Light, Gimme Shelter, Start Me Up, Ruby Tuesday

Steppenwolf-
Magic Carpet Ride (Bedlam's cover is pretty good too)

Steve Miller
Abracadabra, Sugar Babe, The Joker, Jungle Love, Wide River, Quicksilver Girl

Santana-
Mother's Daughter, Black Magic Woman, Samba Pa Ti

Sublime-
Badfish, No Woman No Cry, 40 Oz To Freedom

Most of this dosn't match the within 5 years criteria, but there's probably something you would like.

Maleigh99 01-03-2005 09:12 PM

Ginuwine's "So Anxious"
Usher's "That's what it's made for" and "Can U Handle It?"
Counting Crows' "Color Blind"
Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris"

qweds 01-03-2005 09:13 PM

Santana, and then more Santana. The Best instrumentals is a great disc for that purpose.

Pax131 01-03-2005 09:19 PM

Aye, I should have said more about Santana's Samba Pa Ti, that song is sooooo sweet. My favorite version is off of the live album Sacred Fire.

cyrnel 01-03-2005 09:32 PM

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned my favorite. Dark Side of the Moon. "Money" might not be appropriate but think of it as the Round 2 wakeup bell. :)

gonad 01-04-2005 12:58 AM

Barry White
Marvin Gaye
Jack Johnson
Lenny Williams
Squeeze
Dave
Dire Straits
ZZ Top

Really, as long as you have music you're off to a good start. Takes some pretty lame-ass music to make sex worse than without it.

Addiction 01-05-2005 04:36 AM

For me and my SO, most definitely Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Could Have Lied. It's just such a beautiful song.

chickentribs 01-05-2005 10:27 PM

Glad this got bumped back up. Depends a lot on the kind of "action" you are looking to stir up! Good soft mood music: Tricky, Moorcheeba, Lamb, Talk Talk remixes, Nina Simone, George Michael (album-Older), Seal, Coldplay

Good harder sexy music: Lords of Acid (Farstucker), The Cult (Electric), White Stripes. Just be ready for bruises in the morning!

eyeswimslow 01-06-2005 01:20 AM

I'll tell you what, I'm still a virgin and probably will stay that way for a while but I've always wanted to "do stuff" one might say with a girl listening to Konstantine by Something Corporate... Gotta set some goals for this upcoming second semester.

Tophat665 01-06-2005 07:09 AM

Roxy Music, Avalon (the album). "More Than This" makes the wife melt.

Zeppelin "The Ocean". 7/8 time is a fun rhythm to work with, particularly with that walkin' bass in the 4/4 bridge.

Steve Vai, "For the Love of God". Good going down music.

Frank Zappa, "G-Spot Tornado" Ditto.

Handel, "Water Music". Good from start to finish, particularly if you have a disc that has "Water Music" then "Fireworks Music".

drewpy 01-06-2005 07:15 AM

try some of my favorites

from the 80's grover washington - winelight
from the 90's dead can dance - aon
from the 00's filia brazilia - (anything)

also - think "if this was videotaped ... what would I want as a soundtrack?"

01-06-2005 07:20 AM

Minus the Bear's "This is what i know about being gigantic" might be just what you're looking for. It came out maybe 2000, 2001 on Suicide Squeeze. Really good melodic semi-digital rock.
or, on a less serious note, Kool Keith's "Sex Style" listens start to finish like a hip-hop porno.

Bauer_Power 01-07-2005 02:53 AM

El Dabarge "Rythem of the night" This song is for love
