Line in the sand?
How much does one give to a difficult person?
I've been thinking this one over, after breaking up with a girl for cheating on me...and trying to stay friends. She's had a lot of rough times...and i totally respect her as a person, but she also has been stringing me along, and making it hard to be just a friend to her. She talks trash about her boy that she left me for, and how she misses me...but i remember the last time i took her up on those signals. So, trying to avoid heartbreak, but trying to be the friend to her i wish i had when things were rough... What are your philosophies on how much to give, and how patient to be? |
personally, I wouldn't be able to take her back... because she broke the trust.. but being a friend, thats tough...... maybe just be there for her when its REALLY bad....

I would agree with JNshorty; talk to her and be a shoulder to cry on but leave it at that. I personally say give nothing, don't let her take more of your time only to give you shit.

I've been in pretty much the same situation. I've just tried to not see her, only talking to her now and then, and slowly, she's seeing how much she values me. Maybe if you distance yourself from her for a while, and see what happens.

broken trust means broken friendship. Time heals and tme can mean growth.
See what happens without your intervention and constant monitoring. If your friendship was to truly be, then it will withstand it. |
She seems to have had maturity problems when you were with her,and now after.Focus on yourself and forget about her.Life is hard enough to understand yourself let alone worrying about someone elses problems. She has a new boyfriend now,let him figure it out for her.
