Free....
...and now I don't know what to do.
So, it starts by me getting a call from my lawyer yesterday. She said "congrats. come up and sign your papers. you are now divorced." Well, now I don't know what to do. I feel kinda the same except I no longer have a wife. Not seeking advice. Just thought I'd make an observation. |
well, I can't tell from your post if your happy or sad... but hey, as long as it's the best solution for you two
|
cheer up, now you can mingle again
|
well, that happened to me not so long ago- I suggest you just kick back for a while and be you- just get used to not being "with " someone, sort your life out, and relax a bit- once you are ok with the rather large changes that divorce brings, go out and try new stuff, meet people, etc. I met the woman of my dreams following that formula, and often remind myself that all the great stuff in our life now couldn't have happened without going through the hell that was a divorce......
|
hehe...I guess you are right. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
For the record, my ex and I are very good friends (still) and she coulda taken me more than what she did. We both decided that we sucked at being married and hence our freedom from one another today. I am not really sure if I'm happy or sad. |
It's good that you are still friends and parted on good terms anyway
|
On February 2nd of this year I have my default hearing in my divorce case. There's kind of a mixture of feelings that go along with it, especially because the guy was such a fucking asshole to me. But it's still kinda strange to think about. I, however, will be ECSTATIC when it's all over with.
Word of advice... take the time out for yourself to figure your life out. Trust me on this one........ ;) |
I am sure you feel like you've lost a part of yourself and your life.
You will stay strong and get back on your feet. Keep going. Take it all one day at a time and make yourself happy. Conquer your goals and dreams. The world is yours. :) We're here, to, if you ever need to talk. Best of wishes. |
It takes a while to develop a new routine and to get into new habits that don't involve your ex.
Reconnect with your friends. Maybe join a gym if you don't already belong to one. Working out will help you burn some stress and even eventually feel better about most everything. Reestablish ties with your favorite hobby and those around you who participate. Getting your life going again isn't that hard to do. The more you identify who you are and what makes you happy in this world the quicker you will be able to put the past completely behind you. Good luck... |
