I heard an interview with Shirley Manson -the lead singer of Garbage. So now I think that a Scottish accent is damn sexy.

I think all accents are sexy - a touch of the exotic. Some are sexier than others though (Parisian French, for instance, as compared to a Geordie English accent).

Oh the British by far. I work in a dorm and there are a bunch of british girls there as foriegn exchange students, ohhh, so nice.

Gotta go against the southern accent, though. My mother is originally from Florida, and although she lost her "accent" years ago, it comes back with a vengeance when she's pissed. :eek:

Mrs. O'Rights hails from Long Island. Although her accent is severely diminished, it comes back strong when she gets "homesick", i.e. over the holiday season. I find it rather hawt when she asks me if I'd like anymore "cwofee", or reminds me that the "dwog" needs to go out. :love:

Bill thats cause we have shitty southern accents in FL. Ours just come out soundind "dumb redneck". If you want a really sexy southern accent try GA, TN, or KY. I think AL too but i cant recall for sure if I know any Bama girls.

Aussie accents do it for me every time. I even like listening to Aussie guys talk. That and Irish.

It's not that, so much as it's everytime I hear a southern accent...I hear my mother...in a really...bad...mood. I always knew I crossed the line when the accent came out.

British accents have a tendancy to drive me insane. I have no idea why, but it sets a fire in my loins...

You listen to a broad Scottish accent and then to a Cockney. Or to a Geordie and then a Welshman. So much variance in such a tiny island ;)

They're all good. Well, ok maybe not a Scottish highland accent. But nintey percent of the accents from that Island are good.

I'm gettin the 'english' accent (I used to have one and lost it for west coast canadian) have been here jsut over a year now. Southern (poshish i suppose.. not so common (in'it)) english if i had a cockney/east london type accent i wouldn't be pleased! Irish is really nice, incredibnly sexy! and believe it or not now that i've been over here so long i'm beginning to like the west caost accent again (esp. california ways). Dunno what that is about though!

Uper Class Indian accents are so damn sexy. I heard it once when i was watching Miss World a year or two ago. It's a mix between Indian and British, sharp and sweet at the same time, damn fine.

Also, a mild southern accent is very sexy. Not a hardcore, backcountry accent, but a softer one... I knew a girl that had the perfect southern accent, and every time she talked, it got me going.

I really like midwestern American, not chicago, but more minnesota/wisconsin. Girls seem so innocent with that accent, but you know they've got a freaky side.

The first time I heard a tibetan accent I really liked it. It's almost like british but it sounds even better. Sexy? As long as it's not too high pitched and I can understand it, any woman's voice is sexy.

I think most European accents are good. Definitely not Chinese though.

English followed by a light southern accent. If it is too syrupy, it just goes too far.

My least favorite is the western kind of twangy accent, although the girls that have that usually are wearing tight Roper jeans which can make even an average girl look pretty hot.

I don't see the appeal of english accents at all, they sound too snobby to me.

I don't really have a favourite accent.
The flavour I speak in is kinda weird. My parents are from the east end, so I have all the lingo, but my voice is really deep. I can be posh if I need to, but I can talk to the cabbie in a language we both understand. I live in London, so I like to think I am neutral, but so does everybody. I do an excellent brummie though!

coming from australia (i dont know, may be the same in other countries) we have a really diverse culture so we often run into people with lots of diffenerent accents and it is really good :thumbsup: when you go out sometimes.


and of course cant beat the good ole' aussie accent and our aussie slang.... as i like to say 'we speak australian, not english...'

almost any accent that's different from one's own tends to sound exotic. Frankly I like the sound of a womans voice, especially is it's not whining or complaining... A positive woman is a beautiful thing in any one of several languages and accents!

the more "proper" English accents are totally cute, they get me every time. I'm not too fond of Scottish or Irish accents in women, but on men, they sound SO badass.

Russian and central European accents are most appealing to me.

Mexican, not Tijuana or California mexican, but like central mexican. Think Salma Hayek..........mmmmmmmm Salma.

Vietnamese is a favorite of mine, except I heard the vietnamese accent in german, then a german/vietnamese accent in english. Very lyrical and pretty to listen to, and the german doesn't sound quite as harsh.

i find almost all accents sexy...

except for; Kiwi, Southern Sydney, Western Sydney, Aussie from anywhere north of the tropic of Capricorn, actually the list goes on a bit... but i'll stop the negative...

thats not to i say i don't like them, its just that they don't turn me on.

as for the positive... a few sexy stand-out accents for me are; Satha (light, not that heavy Africaan drawl), French, Japanese, Scouse (yes, i know thats a strange choice), and that Southern US drawl. i dig most southern european accents like Spanish and Italian... hot damn...

i like slight accents of any type, minus southern, but thick accents, as cool as they are hard for me to understand which is discouraging.
