Should I thank the ex GF?
 

So this year rocks.. 2004 is gonna be the best ever.. New years I hooked up with a late teenager girl. My first new years kiss (yes I know thats pathetic considering i'm 25.) Anyways, it was fun. It wouldn't have happened if I didn't know that my current GF was cheating on me.. (I now consider her an ex, if she can't call and talk then she's not worth my time. )

So anyway tongiht I wasn't expecting to go out at all.. Was just gonna sit at home n play some video games. My buddy called me up and we went out to play some pool. I ended up hooking up with this awesome girl from out of state. From the sounds of it I think were going to be spending a lot of quality time together in the near future.

So, should I thank the ex for being such a bitch and pushing me towards these new intrests I've found?

Stuff telling her man, just move on from her.. if she's cheating on you, don't waste any time / energy on her at all.

Move on. Just because good came of it, there is no use rewarding bitchcraft. No matter how you slice it, you would come across sounding sarcastic, which is fine if you want to get passive aggressive, but not, I hope, what you were actually asking for.

Best to cut it off. If you feel the urge to go back and put it in her face I think that means you may still have some emotions left there. Best to leave them in the past and move on.

Just move on. If she does call, tell her you found out she was cheating and figured it was over and there's nothing more to say.

If you gave her half the effort she did, here's what you should do. Go to room that she's been in, i.e. your bedroom, etc, and call her name and say thanks. I'm sure she didn't even think about you that much, so you'd be even. Then just never speak of her again.

Don't waste time and energy creating a larger enemy than you will already have. Revenge like that is petty and childish.

Don't burn bridges. As much as it might satisfy you to do it, I never retaliate against someone unless there is no other choice. There are exceptions, but as a general rule, you never know when/if your paths might cross again in another light.

anyhow, i'm generally the sarcastic guy in any situation, but in this case i default to not sinking to her gross level. just move on, and revel in the fact that she has no idea how much happiness she's caused you- which is really way more satisfying, as far as i'm concerned.

Good for you Adam....I mean NeoSparky! I am with the majority of the people here. Move on and don't stoop to her level. As good as it may feel to put her in her place, there is always a bitter taste left in your mouth afterwards.

I'd just leave it be. Find the good in the good in the bad and move on from there. If that doesn't make any sense.....from every negative experience, you gain something. My ex treated me like shit. Looking back on it, it sucks, but I have a better idea of what I want in a relationship, and how I want to be treated by someone I'm in a relationship with.
