Music during sex...
I don't know if this should be in the music forum, but please correct me if it should be.
Do you normally have music playing during sex? If so, what? I don't put a CD on especially or anything, but i normally have Winamp on all the time. It's never Barry White or anything like that (though it probably should be), but my girlfriend's never asked me to change it or turn it off.. but i certainly prefer it to be on. I just don't know why :s

If iTunes is playing, far be it from me to stop it.
It's a pretty good time unless something like Sevendust or Ill Nino starts playing. Nothing kills the mood more than "TE AMO I HATE YOU"

If you get a chance check out a band called the Postal Service. I listen mostly punk and harder stuff and my girlfriend says that the above band is great to mess around/make love to. Otherwise I agree with Bjork, anything unplugged to an extent also, acoustic stuff.

Bjork is good. The album Vespertine is a nice choice.
If you're in a retro-erotica mood, then it's REAL hard to beat Enigma. Here's what you do. Point your browser at http://www.somafm.com. Soma FM is (IMO) the finest internet radio station there is. Stream the "Groove Salad" channel. Goooooood stuff. I've ripped many hours of it for playback off my portable MP3 player. Last edited by ratbastid; 12-22-2003 at 11:55 AM.. |

I prefer The William Tell Overture, but it's not one of my wife's favorites

Isley Brothers for making love
Reggae and Dancehall for having sex Hip-hop/ Hard Rock for raw dog fuckin It was kinda funny when my girl noticed that pattern. She saw me loading Makaveli and Triple 6 Mafia into the cd changer and said "Oh youre in one of THOSE moods huh."

Remember the movie "10"
Ravel's Bolero Jazz, R&B, reggae I have found that humming "flight of the Valkeries" by Wagner during BJs leads to getting bitten.

In addition to pretty much all the other suggestions here...
Might I suggest that the fair denizens on tfp-ia sample the delights of nookie accompanied by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Fat Boy Slim's first album was also a pretty good one for the nightly slotting stakes classic 'round tisonlyi's house a few years ago. Mmmm.

hmmm interesting question:
I usually make love with either Hefner, Beck (my girlfriends musical hero), Liz Phair or Jeff Buckley playing in the background - other light alternative mood setting music is ok to ....... and on some occasions I just make love to my girlfriend while the CD In Utero by Nirvana is playing: it doen't happen very often, but when it does well: "it rocks" |

Foreplay....lots and lots of foreplay! As for me, it is strictly mood driven. Sometimes no music, at times soft "love songs", or instrumental, a little classic rock, what ever I/We are feeling at the time.

Sometimes.. I prefer music on.
A friend of mine actually mentioned that he likes to have fast paced music so he can hump faster. I just can't help but laugh when thinking of nin and him humping to the beats..... Good times.

Marvin Gaye....but I wish my wife liked PJ Harvey...that would be some great music to do it to...I heard at one point that she uses so much bass in her music because that's what she likes to make love to....I'd love to get a piece of that...

we don't usually have music on. but we have i think like once or twice. once i think coldplay might have been playing, and that was nice. i'm a big fan of zion by fluke from matrix reloaded. could have just been the big orgy scene in the movie that turns me on but i think it's great fucking music. i could see us having music on more when we have our own house. i think it's hard though cause if you plan it it seems cheesy to me and if you don't you're likely to get a song thrown in that just sucks.
