Double standards
 

Are people still quite susceptible to this?

I guess the main one is that i don't and wouldnever hit girls. I also don't really readily hit guys, but sometimes i deifnitley feel i could, and have before (namely in contact sports such as AFL though, which is basically in the rules anyway :D )

Just reading another thread before, i don't think i would be that upset if my girlfriend made out with girls (although within reason, like not too often) although if it was a guy then it changes everything. Thats a pretty egneral one though....

anyone else feel this way? or have any of their own double standards they'd like to admit to :o

I could not even comprehend hitting a girl. Ever. Nothing more to say about it.
Also, I would not want my girlfriend kissing another girl, maybe it's because I only date girls that have class, kissing another girl, while a turnon in some cases is definitely trashy.

To me crossing that line with anyone regardless of their sex is cheating. But a realtionship is whatever the people invovled with it believe it is.

If my g/f were kissing other girls I don't think I'd be just as upset as if she were kissing another guy but I think I'd still be pretty pissed.

As for hitting goes, some chicks are just asking for it. I know I'd never make the first move in hitting a woman but if I were attacked by a woman - I'd handle the situation just like I would with a man. I'd defend myself until it's no longer needed and then make my exit.

I will refrain from hitting a female until the point i feel my life or the life of loved ones is threatened. A guy I will hit when he takes a swing at me. Double standard yes, but that's me. I have many double standards when it comes to men and women, some favor men, while other favor women.

I'd definitely hit girls- it's not that different than hitting a guy. In my hockey league, there are a good number of girls, almost all of the cute/in shape variety, and if you don't check them every bit as hard as the guys, you won't make it out there. After a while, you just get in the mind set that you have to take it to anyone who takes it to you.

If the girl is already hitting you to the point that if you do not return you will be beaten to hell, then you subdue her.

I'll beat the shit out of anyone who beats a girl I know, or even if i don't know her, if i witness it.

Personally, i would never hit a girl. Theres no point really because it would be too easy to hurt her and beat her up(in most cases). In general girls shouldnt think, if i hit him he's not gonna hit me back. There are plenty of guys that dont care. As for girls kissing other girls, if i love the girl, deep down i would care.

I follow a very simple rule.It's not okay,ever to hit other people.If someone really upsets me I have a wide range of choices open to me,including simply leaving.Violence is not acceptable,ever as a response unless one is being physically attacked and cannot flee the scene to safety.

Violence is a last resort. Always!

Usually, with guys, I won't take pot shots. With girls, I will never take pot shots.

Why?

Because usually I don't need to.

Women, in that respect, don't generally (to my knowledge, at least) have the need to "prove" that they can kick your ass, and as a result can back down if you give them time to calm down while just restraining them.

Guys, on the other hand, rarely back down.
