An effect of masturbation?
 

I heard that your dick stops growing if you masturbate too much...I know there are a lot of old myths about masturbation, but, somehow this one seems half logical. Anybody want to put this one to rest? Or not?

Out of curiosity, why does it seem logical?

If anything, it could stretch it further.

I'm not advocating masterbating excessively, but I've done it pretty regularily most of my life. think that my penis has actually gotten a little bigger since my 20's (mid 30's now).

Not scientific (did not take measurements then and now - this could be in my mind) it just seems bigger and thicker. I've heard that your ears and your nose continue to grow as you get older - why not your dick!?!?

Unless you're some kind of mutant, your dick is not made up of cartilidge, which is the only thing that keeps growing once you've stopped maturing.

According to an old Maxim article (great magazine) one of the sure fire ways to make your penis bigger was originalized by some African tribe -- stretching (kinda obvious considering it is a muscle.) They were kind of over zealous, stretching the penis at first and then rolling it around a stick -- but I figure that regular masterbation could do the same thing.

Masturbation would neither shrink nor make your dick grow...

If you want your dick to be longer, rest it on an anvil and hammer it with a mallet, be sure to turn it over occasionally so you don't flatten it out. Works a treat <:

I used to think it was logical that masturbation would make your penis grow LARGER, in fact; I thought that maybe it could increase your testosterone levels, which would in turn make your penis bigger during adolescence (when it's still growing).

No it's not. There's no muscle tissue in the penis at all. There are abdominal muscles that penile tissues pass through in the groin, but none in the penis itself. That'd be about as mutant as having cartilige in the penis.

to answer your question.....it does NOT stunt the growth.

When I took an anatomy and physiology class the teachers had articles of studies that proved nothing will alter the size of your...manness. It's preprogrammed into your genetics and ain't nuthin' gonna change it.

Actually there is an old playboy I was reading and it had a doctor answer the question in the Q&A part of it. They said that if you are happier your penis will get bigger (and not hardon bigger). So if you masturbate and it makes you happier, through relieving tension and whatnot. Your penis will get bigger.

I could be off on this though.
