Favourite name of the opposite sex?

This ins't about your own name, but what's your favourtie name for the opposite sex?

i've always like sarah or leah myself, for a girl. Although ultimatley it has nothing to do whatsoever with my attaraction to the girl, just some more stuff to discuss :p

twotimesadingo 10-22-2003 10:24 AM

Big fan of Leah, or Aleah. Sadly, it's becoming a more common name, so blah.

Depending on the girl, I like Shannon, as well (I currently have a huge thing for a girl named Shannon at my school)...

Hmm... They come to me randomly, I guess.

Averett 10-22-2003 10:25 AM

I'm partial to Ryan. Every Ryan that I've ever known has been good looking.

This might seem like a kiss up, but I really like the name Jack. It's a very strong manly type name :)

Bah... What about Dingo?
;) ;) , nudgenudge

Averett 10-22-2003 10:35 AM

I don't know about Dingo...

But I love the name twotimesa ;)

Sleepyjack 10-22-2003 10:39 AM

btw my name isn't jack it's Tom

man i am laughing fairly loud at that for some reason, lol

my full name is Thomas though. Its crap really though, cause it should be spelt Thom for short, which i somtimes do, but people (mainly my brother) gives me crap for trying to be Thom Yorke or something. Which i am not trying to do!

Anyways, i wish my name was Tomas, which my mum was gonna call me from the get go. She saw some soccer player with that name.
Also, if i was gonna be a girl, my mum was gonna call me sarah, but i only found that out, after i liked the name sarah, which was interesting

Touché, my dear, touché.

WhatAboutBob 10-22-2003 11:20 AM

Favorite name for the opposite sex...

Broads....

absorbentishe 10-22-2003 11:22 AM

Any lady not named Lisa or Shannon is okay in my book! Had bad experiences with multiple ladies with those names.

As for what names are cool.. Pussy Galore, or Ivan Humpalot.

Seriously now, I met a lady named Aida, kind of a different name, and I like it. But, any but the above.

Sixteen 10-22-2003 04:43 PM

Autumn for females, always Autumn.

Never met a girl named Autumn unfortunately.

Others: Winter, Amy, Kelly, Kayla

Note: I don't like Summer ;)

shimmy1 10-22-2003 05:24 PM

My girlfriend's middle name is Aleatha, which for some reason she doesn't like to be called. I think it's a great name.

sillygirl 10-22-2003 05:36 PM

I like the name Luke. And Matthew I always liked, but now I think it's been ruined forever for me (reeeally bad experience). Ummm, I also kinda like Kayce (pronounced Casey) and Kaysen.

raeanna74 10-22-2003 06:11 PM

My favorite is Gerald, short Jerry. My second favorite is Micheal short Mike. Pretty basic stuff - anything name that's too exotic and I tend to be a sceptic about the guy.

DEI37 10-22-2003 06:18 PM

Hey...you were supposed to say "Joe."

Sparhawk 10-22-2003 06:28 PM

One Woman, Many Names-to paraphrase a very poor taste joke :)

I like any name that can be shortened into a cute one syllable name, i.e. Jennifer into Jen, Sherry into Sher, etc

padam 10-22-2003 06:44 PM

Teri or Terry

1337haxor 10-22-2003 06:47 PM

From past experiences (the good part of it anyways) I like:
Angel and Michele ( just 1 L)
I always thought Kathryn was a good name too

Well I was thinking in terms of naming a child. You know how Becky insisted that we not name a boy (if we were to have one) Joe Jr. Yes I love the name Joe. I already have you so Joe is a given. ;)

bundy 10-22-2003 07:40 PM

well atm, my fav female name is Vanessa, but i´ll not give a reason...

i also like Georgia, Leilah, Mariella... well, the list goes on, but i´ll stop there...

strcrssd 10-22-2003 07:53 PM

I have a long list of female baby names that I've cooked up for occasions like this one (or if I ever manage to spawn a kid...which would be difficult due to my current lack of a female partner):

Katherine (Kat)
Kaylee (Kay)
Anne (not Ann)
Jennifer (Jen)
Jessica (Jess)
Ami or Amiee (pronounced amy)

My current crush is Pesla (pronounced Paisla)...I had never heard it before, but I like it.

laconic1 10-22-2003 08:07 PM

I like pretty much any girls name that starts with a K or an M.

SabrinaFair 10-22-2003 08:11 PM

I love the names Luke, Erik, and Dominick.

Never dated anyone with a name I particularly liked or disliked.

blade02 10-22-2003 08:11 PM

hmm lets see...back in my freshman year of highschool every time i got a crush on a girl...her name would wind up being stephanie. Pretty much I like a name thats easy to spell. I hate worrying about if Im spelling her name right or not....so to all the parents out there "Quit being creative with your spelling!!!!"

one of my favorite names for a girl though was Dessiree. it shortend to Dezzi. Maybe it had more to do with her, but the name just always seemed so cool and fun yet pretty at the same time.

World's King 10-22-2003 10:21 PM

I like strange names. Not like "hippy" name's but ones that aren't normal. Like Regan or Colby. Both of which are names of X's.

I stay away from Tiffanys and Sarahs. For the same X reason.

numist 10-22-2003 10:31 PM

whats really funny is that my g/fs name is Carrie (Caroline full, and is supposed to mean "small and feminine" meeyow!), and its been my fav. female name for a long time now.

The other side of the coin - her favorite name has always been scott..

guess what my nametag says ;)

majik_6 10-22-2003 10:35 PM

I'm a big fan of Amber, Michelle, Jennifer (Jen), Nikki, Lauren, Natalie, and like World's King said, unusual names are often good.

*if anyone I know reads this, it's honestly coincidental that these names correspond with my closest female friends*

analog 10-22-2003 10:40 PM

Hmm. Ever since my ex I've always liked Amelia, and i've always liked the name Katie, although it would be weird to be with a girl named that because there's a girl i've known since she was 1 and I was 5 and she's like a sister to me. Had a friend back in high school AND a co-worker named Corinn, which I liked... I dunno, too many to mention.

One name i will not associate with: Melissa. She'd have to be fucking GORGEOUS and SMART AS HELL and have the BEST personality in the world for me to get over the name.

There's something wrong with it? My girl's name is Melissa, Mel or Miss for short. It's derived from the greek word for "honey bee" or something.

Edit: also she's smart, beautiful, and the nicest person I've ever met :p

Church 10-23-2003 12:22 PM

I'm more partial to Amandas and Kaylas. I know Amanda is common, but that was the name of my high school crush, so I think that has something to do with it. :(

mb99usa 10-23-2003 12:37 PM

I've always been drawn to girls whose names end in the "ee" sound. My wife's name ends in that sound too.

Becky
Dottie
Brandy, etc.

Although my first time was with a girl named BJ, no lie. She was good at that too.

Lunchbox7 10-23-2003 01:21 PM

Emily
Star
Summer

I like unusual names

vveronica 10-23-2003 01:23 PM

Hey sleepyjack what is wrong with veronica....

I always liked the name Maximillion (MAX)
.........................................Or Mark
.........................................Or Rex

But in my life right now my fav names for the opposite sex is Alan or Tom or bob, or the best of all "Oh my god that feels good".... hehehehehehehh

mistered 10-23-2003 02:19 PM

Agnes. Mertle. Gertrude.

I'm also 143 years old.

Rubyee 10-23-2003 02:37 PM

Anthony
Corbin
Edward
Brady
Ian
Andrew
Alex

pilot 10-23-2003 09:26 PM

jill, jullie, jane, jennett. I'm hip on the J's.

mirevolver 10-23-2003 09:41 PM

If she isn't named Jennifer, or Jenny, or any other variation of the name, I'm good with it.

I have a bad track record with girls named Jennifer.

Eclipse26 10-23-2003 09:45 PM

Matthew, Derek, Anthony, Paul, and Andrew...

I think that sums it up.

Reese 10-24-2003 02:18 AM

I like Autumn as a name. I knew a gal with that name once with hazel eyes and light alburn hair and thin glasses.. She was enchanting to say the least..

Zombie 10-24-2003 09:35 AM

Hm.. Vanessa, Valerie, Veronica, Sandra and Chuck
Im sure there are more but I just cant think of them at the moment.

big stickler on the V's
