Well, i am sitting here drunk, and I was pondering, which is better: Sex drunk, or sex sober? What do you think, and why.

Feel free to explore casual sex vs meaningful sex, etc.

I cant think of what else to discuss, and this is written before i passout(proofread 3 times), so without further adu, chat it up, and feel free to post personal experiances/ personal bests!

Sex drunk is usually a messy experience. When I have sex I wanna be in total contron & feel everything. Booze disconnects you from your senses & I think you loose out. & If youre really drunk you wont remember the next day. I dont really see any argument here - Sex sober is the best.

Actually, I've never had sex while drunk. Must work on that :)

As long as the drunk sex is not almost past out drunk. Ususally the inhibitions will be down a lot, and you can let loose even more than ususal.

Well... I've done things while drunk. Inhibitions down for sure! I was drunk... The guy was in the passed out drunk stage. Otherwise I'm sure I woulda had drunken sex. Damn drunken men anyway..

Sober sex allows for a lot more intimacy and connection (as well as great deal more physical sensation), but that's not to knock drunk sex. It's been my experience that being inebriated really allows one to let go of control and just have a good time. Depends on the stage of drunkeness though, I suppose.

drunk sex is very good (not on the verge of throwing up drunk, just happy drunk)

sex with maybe one drink is pretty darn cool too... that way inhibitions are down, but it's not like the beer goggles are in full effect, and there is no memory loss

I've never been that keen on sex drunk. It seems to heighten everything but it also, at least for me, open the door to making mistakes like forgeting a rubber or sleeping with someone that you find revolting. Plus, if you or your mate has just vomited and tries to kiss you or give you oral pleasure, that's just not good.

Sober sex seems to be the best for knowing who you are sleeping with and if you do make a mistake in judgment, you can drive home quickly without the worries of a DUI.

I've had both and I must say, sober sex is better. Trust me.

Sex Sober! The problem with sex drunk aint the sex part, it's seeing who you had sex with the next morning. :p

I think happy drunk is the best. Inhibitions are down and each is a little looser to really open up and let things happen. Usually do things you wouldn't do sober but have always wanted to try.

Everything is better when you're sober.

I don't drink. I very much enjoy sex either way, but it's always a really fun time when Quadrette is drunk. She gets much dirtier than she does when sober.

The problem is we're usually out when she's drunk, so she's all horny, but by the time we commute home, she's lost the buzz and gets too sleepy. This has been a problem since we started dating over 6 years ago. We do occasionally make a detour if we're driving, but it's real hard to fuck on the subway. :)

They both have their pros and cons. I guess sober sex is better because it's more meaningful, but if i'm just looking for a fuck then drunken sex is great. My b/f doesn't like drunken sex. It actually just became a rule in our relationship that we wouldn't have sex drunk. I don't think he likes it because I tend to get pretty obnoxious and stupid (which I don't blame him for at all). I like drunken sex just because I can relax more and let go more. I don't care what's going on or who's around. I can just be me and enjoy the moment.

well, i voted for Sex Drunk... (but not too drunk)

theres a thin line on this one.
i mean one drink over that line and the sex just gets messy and even nasty.
but with the perfect amount of booze on board, the inhibitions come down and the adventuous spirit comes out to play.

however, sex while sober can also be very very good.

I like drunk ( not drag ass drunk) sex because you seem to be more experimental and sober sex is good for just wanting to be passionate and make love!

I'm noting voting on this issue, as I'm missing a category: "Sex on pot".

Probably I should justify my answer.
1. Drinking does sometimes make it easier to get in the position of having sex.
2. Sex while drunk (meaning more than one or two beers) is crap. Your primary sexual organ doesn't perform well, your senses aren't on par, etc. You probably know that.
3. Stoned sex is another issue. My personal experience and that of others I've spoken to shows that the following happens: Loss of inhibitions, while retaining a sense of the feelings and needs of the other person. Even though I've lost a few of my own inhibitions, I'd still claim that it adds to my experience. Not that I want to be stoned all the time.
4. Stoned sex does tend to be a matter of both doing what they want. But in contrast to drunk sex, it's less a matter of having the "courage" of doing what one wants and the other doesn't, but more a matter of both doing more to the effect of mutual pleasure.

Sex sober is definitley better, but Ive had alot of fun times drunk, The first time me and my gf had drunk sex, we got so into it, we did it 4 times, that was the first time we did it more than once

Sober is best, but sloppy drunk sex is fun too.

Personally, I don't think it makes a difference if you're intoxicated from alcohol or pot. You're still intoxicated.
- You can experience the same erection problems with pot as you can with alcohol.
- Both alcohol and pot lower your inhibitions because you're intoxicated.
- Maybe for you (placebo, anyone?) it's less a matter of having the courage of doing what you want, but they both do the same thing, and you end up with the same end result.

To me, this is the same issue as with pot and driving. A lot of stoners think it's okay to drive while stoned, but not drunk because it's somehow different when you're high. One time, a guy lied to me about his sobriety and drove a full car of people to a nearby restaurant. Everyone in the car could tell he was stoned and he was driving like shit. He thought his driving was totally up to par. So, I'll let you in on a little secret, they're both drugs and they both impair your judgment. That's why you'll still get in trouble if you're caught driving while stoned--cops agree with me that stoned is just as bad as drunk. To me, there's no difference.

I'd have to say sober sex, because my wife doesn't drink anymore and I am not too fond of alcohol to get drunk :p

There is no comparison. Sex drunk can be an intense experience of unleashed inhibitions. However, all I can usually remember of these experiences is very blurry. Sex sober is usually a little more restrained, but you are sure to remember all of the feelings, emotions, etc. Sober sex is the best imho.

sober sex. no question. drunk sex is fair, high sex is a blast... but REAL fulfilment? Sober, thoughtful, intellectual, calculated, and purposeful sex is by far the most incredible, mind-altering experience. I don't just mean then lovey-dovey birds chirping sex, I mean the naughty, kinky, insane intimacy of clear-headed passion. Nothing better!

But then, I always say sex is like pizza... Even when it's fairly bad, it's pretty good... It's better when it's a bit messy, and drunk, high, or straight up, it's something to savor.
