Dating a Nurse
 

So, I just started dating (kind of) a nurse.

So, has anyone of you wonderful people ever been with nurse? Dateing or married? A few of my friends are telling me that it's not a good idea for several different unexplained reasons.

This girl seems to be different due to her age (she's 23) and all around lifestyle but you never know.

Any advice on dating someone in the medical field would be helpful. Thanks.

I would imagine one of the down sides being the amount of time you get to see her. Don't most nurses have odd shifts (no set schedule for a month)? That may be something you may want to consider.
But to tell you the truth....I say you go for it anyways, just test the waters, see how things workout. If they do, then boner for you. If not...than keep on lookin.

I think that kind of stuff might be partly responsible for her eventual insanity.

Eh, it's been my experience that medical professionals stand in the extremes on health-related issues. They either smoke two packs a day or would hurt you for picking up a cigarette near them. They either eat their weight in steak or eat their weight in vegetables. And others.

They also have a greater knowledge of human anatomy.

Assuming your nurse stands on the correct side of the line in the "healthy lifestyle" department, go for it. :) If she doesn't, count it as doomed and get goin'.

Every nurse I know as a friend is an awsome person.

Also as a former DJ helper I can tell you that medical people know how to party.

I'd say go for it and see for yourself. A profession does not a person make.

The first night I met this girl (a few weeks ago) she forced me to eat because she said I was too skinny and she asked if I had a bowel movement that day.

The way I figure If I ever get sick I have someone to take care of me... I like that.

I dated one once, If they are all the same, hang on it's an "E" ticket ride. :)

my wife is a nurse, we have rules about the sick stories so that way i can sleep at night, i say go for it, as long as she is nice. its just a job.

Didn't date a nurse.....

Had a fuck-buddy who was a physical therapist.

I say go for it - I had a ton of fun with her, and we're still friends to this day (although her marriage put an end to the whole "fuck-buddy" thing).

She works at Denver's Children's Hospital. I'm not sure what she does there (I know it's not ER) but I know she makes a lot of money.

Nothing odd about Nurse's other than wierd shift work (but hell you can get that from a woman working a factory as well)...

Your probably too young to remember, but "E" Ticket was used to describe the best rides. It came from Disney before you could ride all the rides a many times as you wanted. The "E" Ticket was the best rides.

Scrubs on guys = yummy. Guess they can be on women too, but I've seen too many people in horribly unflattering uniforms.

Ok, I had a blind date with this gal several years ago. She was a vet. She was supposed to go home after work to clean up, but she failed to do so and came to the date with her scrubs on. Not only was she not attractive in the least bit in them, but she had animal remains all over them. I almost gagged!

My wife's a nurse. And yes, the stories get old, and I have to stop her when we're eating, but hey, she's making a great living. And on the scrubs, they can be pretty sexy until I think about all the things she does in them during the day. I insist she change as soon as she gets home.

My gf of 1.5 years is a nurse. Be prepared for some germophobia (sp?). They have to be that way to survive at work, so don't freak about it too much.

Ask her to bring home a speculum. I did. You won't regret it!

Dated several nurses back when i worked for EMS in the late 80's. they were all cool as hell and alot of fun to be around. go for it, you'll have fun.
