My girlfriend is on the pill, and this is supposed to be the week for her period. But it hasn't happened yet, not really, she has bleed a little(like the size of a quarter on hear underthangies) but nothing you could call a period. Anything like this ever happen to anybody?

If your girlfriend just went on the pill, it is very normal for her to have a light period. Don't freak -- I'm sure everything is fine. However, if taking an ept helps you feel better (I know it has me at times) then by all means do it.

Hormones can screw things up, even after 8 months. I've been on the pill for too damn long - going on 12 years - and have had numerous anomalies that scared the shit out of me. I've had light-to-nonexistent periods, spotting, late (like 5 days late) periods, completely skipped periods, etc. Stress, diet, health, hormones, all of these things can cause unusual outcomes. If she bled at all you're probably (probably) safe, but take the test to be sure...good luck to both of you.

Sometimes the HCG levels in the blood are not high enough right as she might have missed her period for the test to detect. I recommend waiting a couple of days to be sure and then retesting a week or so after that. It isn't what you wanted to hear, but by that time her period will either have started or not.
