I have been trolling sex dating sites. obviously, most of them seem to be pure bullshit.

have any of you ever paid for one of these sites?

any hints or ideas for alternative ways to find casual or NSA encounters?

I tend to agree with you -- particularly those sites with multiple photos of girls who are supposedly "in your area"

Don't go specifically to 'sex dating' sites. I have friends at work who use OKCupid and plenty of fish to go on as many dates as they want with as many girls as they want. They both have tattoos, are into cars, and made intentionally asshole-sounding profiles with a crappy pic of their tatts and them in a cool car, and they've been having to sort through the women throwing themselves at them.

Now, this is just for dates, but they've managed to close the deal if they were interested on a very regular (90%+) basis--that's up to you, and your confidence level/game-spitting abilities, though. If you want a sure thing, you'll have to pay to play.

I've met my last 3 partners on Adult Friend Finder (since October, and turned down 4 other opportunities because I was happy with what I had/have)... They've been enough to keep me busy lately. :) And yes, I've paid for the site membership, but there's enough amateur porn on there to keep it worthwhile as well.

The nice thing, as a recently separated 43 year old guy... You know that they're interested in the same thing as you. No playing games in a bar, no making googly eyes in the produce aisle. I hadn't been on a first date in 18 years. :) Yes, there's some fake ads on there, but basically I just ignore anyone under 33 and not in my immediate area. Problem solved.
