Maybe it's the cutter in me, but I've been wanting to do some blood play with my boyfriend for a long while.

He's not into it at all..mostly because he doesn't like seeing me bleed he says.. but ohh.. if he did it it would turn me on. I'd prefer to be the one to be cut and not the one to cut.

It brings a little danger and excitement to sex.. but as long as it doesn't go to extremes.. it's a very kinky thing to me.

Yeah, see it helps to be a cutter in order to enjoy blood play. I myself am not one, but I am with one. Its weird lol cuz I'd rather be cut. But I have had to learn to be the one to cut too because he enjoys it. It has also gotten him to associate the cutting with something sexual and with love...and one thing I have noticed since, he hasen't been cutting on his own anymore when things get to be too much :-) I don't expect those of you who aren't into this to get it. Because it is an out of the norm fetish. *shrugs*

As for your man, Ametc, he probably says that because he doesn't want to hurt you. lol Believe it or not, my cutter b/f was like that. He didn't want to hurt me. But I have told him time and time again that I get off on it and to not worry lol. You would have to get him over that part. Even create a "safe word" if it makes him feel better. I had to do that too. Only he doesn't know I never would use it lol.

I see your argument Strange, but I don't think that comparing this to consented murder is quite the same thing. I could never murder somebody, even with consent. Especially if it involved cannibalism. I could wound somebody, and I don't think that's an insane quality. Violence is bred into all of us. It's primal nature. To channel that into sexual pleasure is not a damaging thing in my opinion.

I don't think he meant "everyone into violent sex is a killer in the making", I thought he meant "every killer was previously into violent sex".

What is different is the direction of causality. A is in B - doesn't mean that every B will become A.

I don't think I would get a thrill out of cutting someone, or feel closer to them. Because I know I'm not fond of jabbing my kid with a sharp object several times each day. I do it because I have to. It doesn't feel like a bonding experience. As for the blood, I don't get squeamish around it anymore, now that I see it every day. But I don't find it sexually appealing at all. I just view blood like I view snot. Go clean it up, don't eat it, and don't get any on the sofa.

I don't mean to sound condescending to those who enjoy it. I just don't see the attraction. It could be partly because I deal with it every day.

I've never done it but i like the idea. It's very risking and I'd be paranoid about getting sick from it but I think it'd be fun.

Even then, I'm pretty sure the statement is incorrect. Additionally, the psychological profile of a killer is significantly different from that of someone who may enjoy the same acts but not kill. The connection made is an oversimplification of the psychology behind violent crime.
