How long after you met your current SO did you wait to have sex with him/her?

We planned to wait a month, we lasted 2 weeks.

I first met her when we were both in elementary school, since our parents were acquaintences/friends. We first had sex at least 10-12 years later (we aren't sure exactly at what point we met, lol), but obviously we weren't intending to have sex that entire period of time. :D

I'm guessing my experience was a bit unique though.

About three months...but we were long distance and met on the internet...if things had been different I am certain we wouldn't have waited that long.

Well, we'd met on the internet in February, considered ourselves a couple around May, met in person in August and slept together the very next day (we were long-distance--I decided to spare you the smarmy scene of when we first met in the airport =P).

I wouldn't normally handle a relationship that way, and it was definitely a risk to get so emotionally involved so early on, but that was six years ago and we've been together ever since.

1) We met the first day of freshman orientation, and were dating by the end of orientation week. (Senior year we were voted "Most Nauseating Couple".) So that was late August. The first time she gave me a blowjob was Halloween night, and that's as close as I can come to putting a date on our sexual firsts. The first time we had intercourse was probably a month or two after that. She was a virgin, so we weren't rushing anything, and we put her on the pill and waited a month for it to work...

2) We met at a New Years party 2005/2006. She moved in just after the NEXT new year, Jan 5 2007. We fooled around before and after that, but our first SEX sex was like 6 weeks after she moved in, after her separation was official. Damn near killed us both to wait that long, but it was the right thing to do.

We didn't have sex for a month or so. I'm not really sure why, it just happened that way.

We did other unmentionable things the first night, however, and that month that we didn't have sex.

How are we defining sex?

I met my wife in college. We started dating two months later, and our first date was third base (hands on genitals). Penetrative sex was about four months later; she had to dump her high school boyfriend first.

5 days to a week or so, can't remember exactly. All I know is that it was 2 1/2 hours, and I didn't even get off (don't ask me how, I wasn't even drunk, was having a BLAST, and have had premature problems with everyone else I was ever with). Three years since we first met over the Internet, two years (1 year, 364 days) since we first met in person. But this was extreemly long distance, the kind of long distance where one of us needed a visa before we could see each other. After we decided to be with each other; 5 months. We didn't care how jet lagged I was from the international flight, we were determined to make up for lost time.

I think it was about 3 months until we had sex with my current SO. She was a virgin and wanted to wait, and had waited a long time (she was 30) so I had no issues since it meant so much to her to find mr right and the fact she was considering me that guy i was honored and felt more inlove with her.

...i did get to play with her boobies and receive oral though 2-3 weeks into our dating though. hehe...fantastic set of knockers i'm tell you.... :-)

Knew her for about a year or two before we started to fool around. We started making out and using hands for like a month, then sex after that.

We met at a bar on a Friday night, went out for beers Sunday night, and got down to business when we went back to his place after, so 48 hours :). 2.75 years later, I'm quite pleased with how it all turned out and continues to be. :D

We met in November, were "dating" by late February and had sex in April (I think, it's been 12 years). I was a virgin , he was not.

We knew each other about 16 years before we had sex, but not as "significant others" -- just as peripheral members of the others' social circle.

Fast forward sixteen years, and we had sex before becoming a couple. We both viewed it as a "summer fling, no-strings-attached" type of relationship... then the summer was over and we were still hanging out, and came to realize how awesome we were together. That was two years ago :)

I dont know. Maybe we saw each other 6-8 x? We made out on the first and subsequent dates-it was kinda like being in high school, slowly going pulling the numbers until you hit Bingo.

Second or third date maybe (week and a half). Found out after we married she would have had sex with me the first date. Almost 24 years later I still regret not moving faster because it's been great the entire time.

Met in 1999. Married in 2002. Had sex on August 29, 2002 on our wedding night.

Waited approximately 2 weeks before actually having sex. She was giving oral after about a week.

1 week after our first date which also happened to be the day i asked her out.
we've also known each other for about umm 8 months, but totally platonic till..iono something just happened
