Umm, 6 months is the shortest time? I'd go for a couple of weeks, tops. And yes, I agree with Mal... only if the wardrobe comes out of thin air and fits me perfectly, because I hate shopping for clothes.

I don't really have a favorite article of clothing. I lose or shrink everything that I like too much, so I don't get attached to clothes. Maybe an old sweatshirt, or my flannel sleep pants (neither of which make me feel sexy)?

Going on 3 years... we're married. :D

1. Since there is no option of less than 6 months, I'll take:
6 months.

2. What would be worse:
Giving up the sex. Nothing in my closet costs more than $120, and fortunately I can afford to spend that nearly any time I want to.

3. More reliable:
Well, I kinda have to say the clothing, because my man-partner has ALWAYS told me I'm sexy and all that, and I have a hard time believing such a biased perspective. :P

4. How long have I had my fav. article of clothing? Hard to say, my "favorite" changes with the weather, opportunity to wear it...I'll say 1.5 years, to be safe.

My longest relationship is over 15 years old.

I think I could make it a month. I've gone that long before. Unlike a couple of the ladies above, I'd want to do the shopping myself; I enjoy the process as much as the product.

I'm assuming this means romantic relationship; for that the answer is six years so far. Longest relationship period would be 21 years, with my sister.

This is fascinating. I'd give up all my clothes, including what I'm wearing, in like 3 minutes if sex was involved. I'd never give up sex for the promise of some new clothes. Maybe there is something to this difference between men and women. Interesting thread, AS.

You have stumbled upon my point. In these matters, men and women as SOOOOOO different. For me, it's the reverse: I would give up a closet full of clothes for good sex, but never in a brazillion years would I give up sex for clothing. :no:

Ummm... not all of the women who answered were keen on clothing over sex. I do NOT value my ratty old flannel pajama pants over sex, believe me. And that is the only article of clothing that could be labeled my "favorite..." and it's a piece of crap. :lol:

I think this is interesting too, but may need a little clarification. Such as: if we were giving up sex, would we still be able to masterbate? Assuming that we could, my answers are as follows:

1. 6 months
2. sex for one month
3. my favorite article of clothing (I have no man at present)
4. 1 year for clothing and 3 years for relationship

Interesting point, I wonder if I could motivate my guy to get rid of a few old things of his I hate with an undisguised reward of sex? I'd so be willing to do that.

I would just like to say no way in hell would I pick clothes over sex, I'd rather just be naked the rest of my life than give up sex

Of course, not all women yadda yadda yaddy.
But according to the national poll, a majority of women seem to have a preference for clothing over sex. I seriously doubt you would find anything like that among men. :no:

Try a similar poll with WoW vs. sex for men. Or computer stuff. Or car stuff.

I'd give up my computer in a heartbeat. Or my car. Or my left arm.

The idea is priorities.

As would most men. I'd lay money on it.

Yea. WoW? Don't make me laugh...a lot of the people on there have never been outside of their own computer's porn and WoW. The chance for real sex? I think they'd go into cardiac arrest and lose the chance for both.

(Yes, I know there are a number of well-adjusted men with girlfriends/wives who support their playing on there).

Cars? A very small minority who value it over sex. I know....maybe -one- friend who could even think about it.


..........................and he has a very nice car >_>. xD. I'd never be able to even hesitate.

Computers? Well, that's a tad harder. There are plenty of people who do like their computers. We have to give up all electronics for x amount of time compared to sex for x amount of time? I think a bunch of us (including me) would rotate it.

As for rest of our lives? Bye bye, laptop ;). No question. I'm having babies (xD). (A very big secondary thing is, ya know, the sex. xD).

I'm not that much into clothes...at least, not outerwear. :)

But it didn't ask if we would give up a closet full of clothes for good sex. This poll is sounding like it has an agenda.

I like how my site attracts rabidly sexual and attractive women.

See, in my typical female way, I meant my input as "Ask how many men would pass up the opportunity to nuture their relationship with a current or potential SO which provides the opportunity for sex, in order to spend that time instead on WoW, cars, or computer stuff, which will reduce their potential for sexual encounters."

Two years at the most, I can't really think of a specific favorite, and my clothes have a fairly high turn over rate. (Not because I'm obsessed with having the latest fashion, but simply because I always manage to destroy them :p )

I don't really like my clothes. But I like getting new ones. So I would probably be willing to go a couple of months to get new ones. I'm also poor, so a new wardrobe would be a great savings.

2. Would it be worse to lose your favorite article of clothing or give up sex for a month? See above. As I'm not a great fan of the wardrobe I have, giving up sex for a month would be more traumatic.

I've actually lost a lot of my favorite articles of clothing. I'd say my favorite is a plain old white longsleever from the Gap. I've had it for 8 years. But it's easily replaceable for $15.
