A Prince Albert and an IUD
 

It's so great and I'm so thrilled: my husband is all gung-ho about getting a Prince Albert! I'm definitely excited about it as well, but it brings up a serious question.

I have an IUD, and am wondering if there is any medical research or litature on if having sex with a man who has a prince albert piercing would increase the risk of bacteria being introduced to the string of the IUD. I am thinking that the risk would be basically null, because the piercing would be in the same area that his penis is all day, and we don't worry about washing his penis before we have sex every time.

However, it's still a question I'm not clear on. Does anyone have any ideas/knowledge on this subject?

Have you ever seen the old sit-com where two kids with braces are kissing and they get stuck? Yeah.....

I'm honestly not 100% sure on this one, but I STRONGLY suggest you contact your healthcare provider and speak to a trained professional about this. The last thing you want to do is put your health at risk because of a piercing.

Now that would be one embarassing trip to the ER. It's like if you used super glue instead of lube and had to get rolled in to the ER in the same position you were in.

Does your IUD have a loop of metal at the end? From these images, it just looks like two strings. But I would talk to your doctor about it first just to make sure it is 100% safe.

I just watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy where exactly that happened! :lol:

A couple of divorcees got back together for a fling and her IUD got stuck on his piercing - they got rolled into the ER with her still on top and him wincing in pain everytime she moved. It was funny as hell to watch...I guess it'd suck being on the receiving end of that.

I can't offer any advice or nothin' - best consult a medic about it. But if Grey's writers can think it up, it can't be that far-fetched...right? :confused:
