Thoughts on Getting "Snipped"?
I just recently got married (2 weeks ago, wahoo!!!!!) and prior to marriage my wife and I were discussing our parenting plans. We both want children very badly, but would like to stop at two. She suggested I get a visectomy when we are done having children. I realize it shouldn't be that big of a deal to me, but the thought of it kind of freaks me out. I am afraid of loosing my sex drive more than anything. For those of you that have had this procedure, is there any noticeable lessening of your sex drive?

I had my vasectomy on December 7, 1984 and can tell you that even now at age 57 I still have a pretty high sex drive.
My procedure was done at 3 PM on a Friday. That evening and the next day I lounged around in loose fitting PJ's in mild discomfort, but Sunday morning I awoke ready to have a go with my SO. I can tell you the procedure was a whole lot easier on me than it was on the ex-wife who had a tubal ligation. |
