I'm trying to expand the ideological diversity of my blog reading a bit and figured this would be a good place to ask. Any recommendations for some conservative blogs that come at issues from the libertarian side of the right wing?

And as an added qualifier, (this one is for a friend) any recommendations for libertarian conservative blogs that are friendly to gay rights and gay marriage?

This guy has single handledly pointed me in the right direction on a number of issues...he takes great exception to the out of control ever expanding federal government, particularly under the current incarnation of 'conservative' 'republican' control, opposes the war in iraq, on obesity, drugs, anti victimless crime, anti homo sexual discrimination, etc...and has a very compelling, hip style of homeboy-ery to his writing.

He often links to like minded libertarians, and is a policy analyst for the libertarian leaning cato institute.

before the neo-cons took over? i think today's conservative would agree whole heartedly with three of the four positions you listed. anti-war being the odd one out... but i can't recall a strong anti-war sentiment in any conservative movement. perhaps you're mistaking the isolationism of the 20's and 30's for antiwar politics?

he's not a blogger, but neil boortz is my favorite libertarian. see if any of your local stations carry his radio show.

Todays Republicans are not conservatives. Being conservative used to mean you believed in small, limited, and less intrusive government. Of course since 9/11 the opposite of all these conservative ideals has happened. Bush signed a budget (the largets every) that makes Bill Clinton look like a fiscal conservative. The Republicans have the house, the senate, the executive, the judicial, and most of the state governments as well. We should see government shrinking, not exploding at exponential levels. Clearly Republicans are not conservatives anymore, and it's time to face that fact.
