Celeb vote pushers / Free Pizza on Dems

So after giving out free concerts to hit up the 18-30some year old voters what are musical artists and celebs alike going to do with all their free time besides being on every cover of my Rolling Stone subscription or making Anti-America songs? Guess they'll have to find something new that is hip to move on to.

p.s
Did anyone here the Democratic supporters bought pizza for the college kids here in Ohio (can't remember the college name) that had to wait in line until 3:30 am last night to vote? Pizza... college kids.. bribe? nah... hmm.. an attempt to bribe or atleast pander.. yeah.

uh yeah that's better than bullying voters...

I think it's cool to bring people together like that and have some fun, food, entertainment for the occasion. I myself, living in Oregon, don't get to experience that cos we have mail in ballots.

I remember CNN announcing that voters were given pizza, but they didn't say that it was party-affiliated. Look, if people were out there waiting for that long, they at least deserve dinner.

But I agree completely that those "musicians" have no clue. They're going out on MTV telling people to go vote--I haven't watched MTV since I was 16, it's too juvenile. 17% youth vote in 2000, 17% youth vote in 2004. Maybe in 4 years we'll see a huge young voter turnout, but as of now, MTV and Hollywood as a whole just got a reality check. People are going to vote if it matters to them, and it's hard to make someone care.

How do you know it's juvenile if you havent watched it since you were 16?

Anyone who switches their vote for a piece of pizza has issues.

As you seem to have missed the inuendo....

In this thread you are attempting to portray a likely act of kindness by individuals, as a ploy by one side or another to steal an election that is quite over. Commonly refered to as trolling, I felt it would be too harsh to simply remove your thread, and instead made a comment as to the validity of it.

But your sarcasm is duly noted...and quite funny

There may be a candidate who's views I totally reject and who I see as causing irrepairable damage to our country, but if they had a hot slice of pizza pie, whoa that's a tough call there.

college kids are not always the brightest or most intelligent. the world pro self-gratification and a slice of pizza, in my opinion, could have easily swayed at least one or two votes easily. i'd bet a slice of pizza it changed a vote or ten.

Oh yeah college kids are so dumb compared to the rest of the population.
Guess what, we come from some where before we're in college.
Changing you vote for pizza is as dumb as voting for someone because you think they are better looking.

Apparently the pizza didn't work very well, did it?

BTW, there is a big dfference between being anti-Bush and anti-American. Come to think of it, isn't being anti-anti-American actually an anti-American quality? Hmmm....

Oh? so *most* celebrities get movie deals, etc because they have talent, are average or ugly, and fellow Americans are not infatuated by them? Not sure why all these shows are on the tube like E! or Entertainment Tonight. Someone watches that garbage. I guess changing a vote because someone is better looking is more probable than a piece of pizza. Attractive people win more promotions, get more jobs, etc than unattractive people. Do your research then come back.

I never said college kids are so dumb but when you make a statement like you have, to insinuate that I was saying something when in fact I wasn't, then you prove my point.
