Good luck in the election tomorrow America

The title says it all.

Good luck in the election tomorrow. I hope "your man" gets in, whoever he is.

The past few months on this board has been a riot (which in Ireland means "good fun"), and I want to thank one and all for the enjoyment of your company.

Ustwo, you're a constant source of interesting and useful information to me.

Daswig, despite our sparring I enjoy your company and I hope you can say the same.

Bling, you're a source of inspiration for me.

Smooth... well, you know what I want to say. Get your act together and get down here!

There are too many people to thank and I hope, no matter what the result, that you continue to believe in America. Despite my constant criticism and analysis, I think your country is a force for good and the world would be a terribly worse place without it.

Here's to you, me and the rest of the world. Hopefully, things will get better.

As Bogey says in Casablanca, "maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon... and for the rest of your (our) lives..."

Opie, thanks for all the thoughful commentary you've given us all; especially making me see things in a different light.

PS - don't think this means I won't stir the pot occasionally and, no doubt, argue with some of you over our differing opinions!

Thanks from OHIO, the swing state tm. I'm glad to know that other countries derive as much entertainment from american politics as we do.

I'm ashamed that I have no Idea who the leader of Ireland is or anything political about it other than the whole north south thing (which I feel bad about), but in my defense, James Joyce's The Dubliners was highly depressing. That, and I watch Ballykissangel. And I like Harp. And a fourth of my ancestors were Irish immigrants. And Ulster, Lenster, and um... the other two.

Um... Yay Guiness.

Just voted. :)

I too am in a "uncertain" state where they both tried hard to win us over.

Time will only tell.

Oh yeah, I voted for ....... ;)

Ballykissangel is dross. You want a bit of Father Ted.

Down with Podge and Rodge!
