Rolling Stone Magazine

So I've been an avid subscriber to Rolling Stone magazine. I've been noticing a trend, especially recent issues, that seem to overly favor Kerry. Almost all the political articles in the "music" magazine are related to pro-Kerry info. If anyone knows here but does some Dem organization contribute to Rolling Stone magazine? It's making me mad enough to where I sent a letter to the editors that they don't have anything even mediocre to say about Bush.
p.s
I'm tired of rock stars trying to influence voters - they should stick to what they know best: overpricing cd's, ticket sales, and never coming to cities in Ohio!

Rolling Stone has always been a very Liberal magazine. It started out as an underground paper in the late 60's when the press was conservative. In fact John Lennon did their first cover.

For anyone to ever think they were unbiased, truly doesn't know the magazine or it's history.

My god, Rolling Stone is anti-Republican! Someone alert Hunter S Thompson!

By the way, just in case, MAD MAGAZINE is also very liberal (although it has been awhile since I've read it and last time I looked most of the artists had gone to Cracked Magazine so..... but I don't know if Cracked is still around.

And National Lampoon, Hustler, Penthouse and Playboy are liberal also.

Yet the National Enquirer, Globe and Star are conservative politically.... hmmmm.

Yeah, this is nothing new; Rolling Stone is a joke. If not because of their political manner, then definitely because of their piss-poor music coverage.

i used to have subscribe. there is a website that you can get a year of rolling stone for four bucks. then i got sick of the substandard music coverage and halfhearted political essays. also peter travers, if he really watches movies anymore, was like the friend that kept raving about crappy movies. i decided it wasn't worth renewing.

i have seen some of the recent issues. it's like, "yes yes ya'll, the lead singer of maroon 5 says 'i don't like george bush!'" the magazine is trying to be hip and influential, and admittedly has some good writers, but it doesn't really work anymore.

if the swifties and rush can try to influence voters, then why not eddie vedder and dave matthews? at least the contribute something worthwhile to society.

(oh, and you can blame the riaa and record companies for cd prices, not sure about who's responsible for ticket prices, and well, lets be honest, ohio's the armpit of the country, who'd want to play at a venue there? :D )
