"SecretMethod70 knows of what he speaks. My own state of Nebraska will fall to George Bush. This is a given, and I have accepted it. (like I have a choice, right?)"
In 2000, Nebraska was one of 6 states that had turnout decline from the prior presidential election. In fact, of all registered voters in Nebraska, 33.1% voted republican (Committee for the Study of the American Electorate). Our true enemy is apathy...but that is for another thread, I suppose. |

what an asshole. Joohn Kerry, on CNN just stated:
"Don't throw away your vote. There will only be 2 people who can be president. George Bush or John Kerry" Screw him. I wish everyone realised that we must start voting for 3rd parties if the are ever going to become viable. This kind of rhetoric is just ridiculous.

The "wasted vote" mantra is an extremely powerful tool of socialization for the two major parties. I am, sadly, not surprised to see John Kerry perpetuating it. Of course, what I would LIKE to see is a political figure who puts the good of democracy and this country above his own political agenda.
