Ex Baath party member are punished severally

Special Report:

Ex Baath party members are facing the consequences of their past actions and have been threatened with renewed full time employment by the new US Iraqi government.

US officials said that the all Baath party members should be punished for their support of the ex-regime. Thus they are being sent to hard labor as office cogs in charge of running the country. This sentence is to be effective immediately.

One un-named US official has been quoted as saying "We figure that since these people had no qualms helping Saddam in his oppression of his people they would not mind doing the same under our administration."

"The plan is coming along rather nicely" said Ari Fleischer at a press conference last evening. "We figure that in just a few month we will have the country back under control and ready for Saddam II. This one will definitely not break down. We decided against using a Microsoft mind control chip option this time, as the last one crashed. Instead we are going with the simplistic but reliable puppet-on-strings approach, that has been working on George Bush so well for the past couple of years. Other options included a hand-puppet approach of which Rumsfeld was a strong supporter."

Very funny...

consider this: there were millions of Ba'ath members in Iraq, with a total population of 20 million. In fact, any person in a position of some importance (doctors, local leaders, factory owners) *had* to be a member of the Ba'ath party. How do you exclude them all from any position of power, while at the same time getting Iraq running again?

The problem is similar to WW2, with Nazi Germany: everyone and their dog was a member of the Nazi party, because they *had* to. Some actively supported their ideas, others did not. After the war, many nazis were put back in their old positions, because without them, Germany would not be able to function, and recover. Did this result in a second Hitler???
